. General Information.. General terms and conditions General terms and conditions is a system supplier for metal construction. RP systems are intended for use by specialist companies, who are familiar with recognised guidelines and regulations for steel and metal construction work and have a pre-acquired knowledge of the appropriate standards as well as the regulations and practices of the sector. For coatings including pretreatments, recommendations of the coating industry should be considered and the details of the possibilities and conditions should be clarified before placing coating orders with the respective coating companies. The provision of technical information, consultation and proposals are services provided free of charge. They offer non-binding suggestions to planning and implementing companies. It is up to the user, however, to examine such information and decide whether it is suitable for all aspects of his respective application. RP parts are distributed under protection of registered trade marks. The construction of components is tested and certified. When damage results from the use of non-rp components, not only is liability no longer accepted but also the test certificates issued for that construction are no longer valid. When systems are being made from rust-free stainless steels, it should be remembered that not all the accessory components are available in such rust-free stainless steel. When employed in highly corrosive environments, such accessory components should be greased. Special solutions will be built on-site by metal construction specialists taking particular care, since these solutions will not be covered by the usual systematic checks. Equally, components manufactured at the factory must be checked for completeness and proper function before installation. All data, explanations and illustrations in the technical documents were compiled and arranged with the greatest possible care and with the best knowledge. Nevertheless, it is not possible to exclude errors completely. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for the use of proposals, illustrations or data. In all other respects we refer to our terms and conditions of sale and delivery. . General Information..2 System advantages Steel advantageous for wide fire doors and interior partitions Protection of people and goods from fire and smoke is gaining ever more importance worldwide. The fire door and fire resistant partition system,, was developed for this purpose with its steel frameworks and fire resistant fillings. It offers the required protection against the effects of fire. Steel is always preferred to other materials for door systems that are in very frequent use. Steel is highly resistant, long-lasting, shockproof and stable. Moreover, with the demand for ever larger components, steel gains ever more significance because of its general static advantages. The outstanding characteristics of steel are reflected in the attachment of the hinges. Steel guarantees the permanent location of the hinges. Screw the plug-in pin [] to the stud [9] from below. - Install and complete the door. The leaf can be aligned by loosening the screws [3]. Tighten the screws firmly after aligning. Next, one of the six unused drill holes must he drilled out to 5 mm and a centring pin [4] knocked in to prevent any shifting. (If necessary the door can be readjusted several times). - Clip the cover cap [5] over the upper edge of the leaf part [6]. Ensure that a distance of 4 mm is maintained between the leaf frames in the middle overlapping leaf region! Use the spacers!. Hinge part should be joined to hinge part 2 with the stated steel pin 3 and with ball bearing 5. 2. The leaf framework should be inserted into the external framework, using the appropriate spacer pieces in the chambers, and adjusted accurately. Please ensure that the clearance of the doors is at least 4 mm, and that the external edges of the leaves are evenly aligned. 3. The welded-on hinge, part 2, is attached to the external framework and, with the lug of part, pushed to lie parallel against the forward edge of the leaf framework. Insertion of an approx. mm thick folded metal strip (6) automatically provides the necessary gap to the doorframe profile. 4. The hinges are held in place in this situation using fastening clamps and cleanly attached to the accessible longitudinal welds. After this the leaves are opened, the ball-shaped bearing (5) removed, and the counter weld seam is made to the hinge parts. Then the previously attached parts are welded. 5. After cleaning and cooling of the weld seam, the ball bearing (5) is reinserted and the leaf remounted. 6. The leaves are checked and possibly realigned. 7. The plastic end (4) is pushed on once the work is completed.
