Biographical/historical note: Mary Ritchie Simmons Tutterow was the daughter of T. Ritchie Simmons, a Charleston attorney, and Agatha Aimar Simmons. Scope and content: Collection consists of personal papers of Mary Ritchie Simmons Tutterow, papers of various members of the Aimar family, as well as papers of the related families of Jacques, Shaffer, and Simmons. Simmons family papers include estate records of Sarah L. Simmons, and papers of Lomax Simmons and Morton Waring Simmons. Papers of Mary Ritchie Simmons Tutterow chiefly consist of correspondence and genealogical research on a number of individuals and families including Marie M.
