Function Preconditions for urner strtup he urner will e strted only if - the sequence switch of the LAE1... is in its strt position - the LAE1... hs not triggered lockout - the contcts of ll control nd monitoring devices in the control loop etween terminls 8 nd 9 re closed - the ir pressure switch if included in the test circuit does not signl ir pressure Fults in the flme supervision section of the LAE1... prevent strtup or, in the cse of strtup, led to lockout. Β ote! If the ir dmper is not controlled y the LAE1..., terminls 20, 21 nd 22 must e interconnected. he LAE1... cn control the following urner plnt components: - Fn motor - Flue gs fn - Air dmper - Ignition trnsformer - 1 to 3 fuel vlves - 1 externl fult indiction unit A lod controller with 3-position output cn e connected. Strtup sequence Specific fetures - Continuous indiction of the progrm sequence in the viewing window of the unit cover - In the event of fult, the progrm indictor shows the progrm phse during which lockout occurred - he motor of the sequence switch cn e switched off to fcilitte the urner setting procedure - he cm shft cn e rotted mnully... on strtup First, the fn motor is switched on vi terminl 3 nd the ctutor is controlled vi terminl 22. When the ir dmper reches its mximum position, the sequence switch of the LAE1... strts to operte nd the prepurge time commences. he minimum ir pressure set on the ir pressure switch must then e reched within 10 seconds (or within 7 seconds in the cse of opertion with postpurge) nd e mintined until controlled shutdown occurs. Otherwise, the urner control will initite lockout. A flme signl during the prepurge time lso leds to lockout. On completion of the djusted prepurge time, the ir dmper is given the control commnd to return to the minimum position. During the time the dmper is closed, the sequence switch does not operte. As soon s the signl contct for the minimum throttling setting is ctuted y the ctutor, the sequence switch strts gin nd controls the progrm sequence which cn no longer e influenced from outside: - Preignition (if the ignition equipment ws not lredy switched on during the prepurge time) - Relese of the first oil vlve connected to terminl 5 (the fuel vlve of pilot urner which, on completion of the second sfety time must e switched off, is to e connected to terminl 10, however) - Completion of the djusted sfety time. If, during this period of time, no flme is estlished, the urner control will initite lockout with interlocking - 11 seconds fter relese of the first oil vlve, the second oil vlve will e relesed - he pilot urner if present nd connected to terminl 10 will e shut down - he lod controller will e switched on fter nother intervl of 12 seconds, which mens tht the urner s operting position is now reched. From now on, the lod controller controls urner output y incresing or decresing the oil throughput nd the mount of ir, depending on the demnd for het 7/17

Function (cont d) If the flme is lost during opertion, the urner control will initite lockout or if operting mode «with strt repetition» is used mke new strt. In tht cse, the sequence switch must return to its strt position, however, nd postpurging will tke plce if progrmmed. Control sequence... fter controlled shutdown Controlled shutdown occurs s soon s control or monitoring device in the control loop etween terminls 8 nd 9 opens its contct. he fuel vlves re immeditely shut nd postpurging, if included, will strt. he sequence switch will return to its strt position where it stys until the next switch on commnd is given.... fter lockout of the LAE1... After pressing the integrted or externl lockout reset utton, the sequence switch will return to its strt position, provided the fult hs een corrected. he only component of the urner plnt tht is switched on here is the fn motor connected to terminl 17. Since in norml circumstnces, the control thermostt or pressurestt continues to cll for het, the sequence switch initites new strt fter it hs reched its strt position. 8/17
