6 Step 3 - Mounting your cabinet 3A MOUNTING YOUR CABINET TO A MASONRY WALL 3a.1 Determine the best location for the installation of your product. A Drilling Template is supplied to assist you with marking out the fastener hole locations. Line height indicators and centre lines are also shown on the Drilling Template for both the cabinet and receiving bracket. Mark out a centre line for your product within your allocated site. 3a.2 Determine the cabinet location. Ensure that either side of this centre line and the area where the cabinet is to be installed on the wall is free from pipes and other obstructions. 3a.3 Mark the cabinet centre on the wall and temporarily secure the Drilling Template to the wall using tape at the desired height. Use a spirit level to ensure that the cabinet is level. 3a.4 Align the centre of the Drilling Template with the proposed Receiving Bracket location. Ensure that the projected centre line is perpendicular to the wall. Note: Determine the line height from the Receiving Bracket before drilling holes. If mounting the Receiving Bracket to an Adjustable Post Kit refer to Fig. 3a and the Adjustable Post Kit installation manual. Fig. 3a Note: MAX line height when mounting Receiving Bracket to a Post is 2 metres. Line height of Receiving Bracket = height to top of post - (subtract) 2.5cm (1"). This is to expose the underside cavity. 3a.9 Carefully position the cabinet against the wall and above the Centre Mount Bracket. Align the cavity at the rear of the underside of the cabinet with the Centre Mount Bracket. Carefully lower the cabinet onto the Centre Mount Bracket. Note: The Centre Mount Bracket will capture the products internal frame and will assist in supporting the cabinet while the next step is carried out. Ø10 x 55mm Ø10 x 55mm 3a.10 Insert masonry sleeve fasteners in the remaining 4 holes and tighten securely. 3a.11 Return the Arm to its original position within the cabinet. Button 8.8c While pressing the button, allow the Lever handle to slowly rotate upward. Position the Lever Handle back within the cabinet. WARNING: The Lines are under spring tension. Do not allow the Arm and Lines to retract uncontrolled as this may lead to personal injury, property or product damage. Hold the Arm securely and walk it back to the cabinet. Handy Hints When hanging thick or bulky items, lay them over more than one Line. When you don t expect to fill the capacity of your clothesline, hang your clothes on the outer Lines, as this will allow clothes to dry more easily. Care and Maintenance Regularly inspect all components and check for wear and tear or damage. Ensure fasteners are secure. If there is any damage, parts should be replaced with original Hills spares. The Clothesline should be repaired before using again. Your Clothesline should be periodically wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. We do not recommend the use of oil or WD type lubricants on any part of the Clothesline. To maintain appearance and durability of coatings on metal components we recommend a twice yearly application of a reputable brand of car polish or wax. HLS0046_4-6 line_owners Manual_v6.indd 17
