System Overview How the pettracer system works The GPS signal is received by the cat wearing the pettracer GPS collar. The GPS coordinates are then transmitted to the pettracer HomeStation (receiver connected to the local user Wi-Fi). The coordinates are forwarded through the internet connection to the pettracer server. The server is then accessed via smartphone, computer or tablet to see where the cat is or has been. Live Tracking Mode (Real Time) The range of the collar is approximately 1 mile (3.14 square miles). The range depends on the type of area the collar is used in. Any HomeStation nearby will automatically form an extended network and increase the range accordingly. The radio communication is encrypted and cannot be accessed by third parties. The pettracer GPS cat collar operates on the 433-MHz-ISM band commonly used within the European Union. It is the responsibility of the user to inform themselves about local rules and regulations. Rules and regulations may change and vary from country to country. Passive Tracking Mode Should there be no connection to the HomeStation (receiver), then the pettracer GPS cat collar changes to a passive tracking mode. In this mode the collar stores up to 70 GPS positions. As soon as the connection to the HomeStation is restored, the collar begins to transmit the collected GPS positions and users can view where their cat has been. Over time many positions are collected and cat owners can analyze the natural habitat and territory of their cats. This also makes it possible to seek out favourite spots such as hiding and sleeping places. Web portal access via Smartphone and Web browser Thanks to our innovative web portal, all functions can be performed directly via the browser of your smartphone or on any PC with internet connection. The installation of an app is not necessary. You can conveniently save the link of the web portal (portal.pettracer.com) in your browser as a bookmark. Page 3 / 10

Menu Overview + Activate new collar Here another collar can be activated. The requirement to activate an additional collar is a service subscription PLUS. The details of your subscription can be found in your account overview (please see section "Subscription management" below). Menu top left By clicking on this arrow the entire menu can be hidden. Symbol explanation to the right of the cat (you will get additional information if you move your mouse over the symbols) 1. The battery icon indicates the battery charge. 2. The radio antenna shows the radio signal strength and the reaction time. 3. The satellite symbol indicates the number of satellites. 4. The clock will display the current mode (see below, "Mode Overview"). Page 4 / 10

A grey cat indicates that the track visibility is deactivated. No GPS positions are displayed on the map. Click on the cat's picture to activate the display of GPS positions for this collar. A colour bar (here blue) will appear. If there are positions available within the selected time period (menu bottom left, please see below), they will now be shown. By clicking on this arrow, an additional menu appears below the cat picture. 1. The circle can be used to select an individual track colour. 2. The white LED in the collar can be switched on or off with the light bulb symbol. The light bulb turns yellow when the LED is on. Thanks to this LED the GPS cat collar can be found more easily in the dark or at dusk. For energy and safety reasons the LED will turn off automatically after 10 minutes. The LED can be switched off manually by clicking on the light bulb again. 3. The clock can be used to make mode changes. By clicking on the clock a drop down menu appears. Page 5 / 10

Overview of the different modes The collar has a motion sensor. When moving, the collar makes more positions than when it is not moving. Modes GPS Position Remarks Fast mode Standard mode Slow mode Search mode Every 10 min. with movement Every 60 min. without movement Every 30 min. with movement Every 3h without movement Every 4h with movement Every 24h without movement Every 15 seconds Contact time of the collar: every 1 min. Contact time of the collar: every 3 min. Contact time of the collar: every 30 min. Duration: active during 15 min. Example: In the "Fast mode" the collar locates a GPS position every 10 minutes or every hour respectively. (if GPS reception is available). This means if a cat does not move significantly within 60 minutes, no GPS position will be located during that time. If the cat moves within every 10 minutes during this hour the collar makes 6 GPS positions. Reaction time: In the Fast mode the collar can be contacted every minute, e.g. turn on the LED or execute a mode change. The search mode (magnifying glass) makes a GPS position every 15 seconds during the next 15 minutes, regardless of whether the collar measures a movement or not. By means of mode selection, the search mode can be switched off before the end of the 15 minutes. Good to know When the collar is charged it automatically switches into the Fast mode. This is also the default mode during setup. A collar in Slow mode can be placed in the HomeStation, if available, to switch and receive commands faster. The contact time of 30 minutes in the Slow mode can be undercut this way. User image By clicking on the button to the left of "Dashboard" an image of yourself can be uploaded. Page 6 / 10

Menu bottom left In this menu the time period for displaying the GPS positions can be changed. Last 2h Displays the GPS positions of the last 2 hours. Last 6h Displays the GPS positions of the last 6 hours. Last 24h Displays the GPS positions of the last 24 hours. Individually An individual time period can be selected for displaying the GPS positions. Good to know If the collar has been in use for a long period of time the appropriate period can be set in the menu entry "Individually". This will display all the GPS positions for that period and gives you a very good idea of the natural habitat of your cats. Menu bottom right In the menu on the bottom right you can change the map as well as the GPS position display. HeatMap We use a "classic" heatmap. It is similar to the representation of temperature differences. The more GPS position in a certain area the "hotter" this area becomes. "Red" means very hot or a lot of GPS positions. Your cat loves these places. "Yellow" means fewer GPS positions. "No colour" means no positions. Points Each GPS position is displayed individually as a point. If you move the mouse over a point, a field appears with the exact date and time of the GPS position. Line The GPS positions are connected by lines. The stronger the colour, the more up-to-date the positions. Road The GPS positions are displayed on a road map. Satellit The GPS positions are displayed on a digital satellite map. Page 7 / 10

Menu top right 1. Shopping Cart: here you can purchase a subscription and later additional accessories 2. Question mark: click here for the support area 3. Flag: select your language here 4. Menu (3 bars): access your account settings. A dropdown menu opens. Logout Here a user can log out. Account Here you can change various settings. The individual areas are described below. Personal data Page 8 / 10

Device information Under "Device Information" you can see if your HomeStation has been configured correctly (WLAN) and has established a connection to the server. Without a valid connection the collar cannot be contacted (see "System overview" above). It does not transmit any GPS positions. Therefore, please make sure that your HomeStation has been configured correctly and is working. Important: The HomeStation must permanently be connected to the power supply and to your WLAN for locating the collar. Specific settings for each cat / collar: 1. Name of the cat wearing the collar 2. Date of birth 3. Upload an image of the cat 4. Change the colour of the track 5. E-mail notification settings in case of the battery falling below a certain charge level. Attention: If a cat is outside the radio signal range for a longer period it is possible that the battery of the collar may be empty before an e-mail notification can be sent. This feature is therefore not 100% reliable. 6. HomeStations and collars can be de-registered here. The devices can be added again at a later date through the setup process. Page 9 / 10

Subscription management The Subscription management gives you an overview of your subscription (type and duration) and all collars which are currently being serviced by the subscription. You can renew a subscription at any point in time or upgrade your subscription BASIC (1 collar) to a subscription PLUS (up to 5 collars). Notifications Here you can register for different notifications and add more e-mail addresses. Purchases Gives you an overview of your past purchases. Page 10 / 10
