CEN-TEX MODELERS INC. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC P.O. BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 HAY BRANCH ELEMENTARY TECHNOLOGY CAREER DAY 8 May 2009 CEN-TEX Modelers Inc participated in the Technology Career Day held at Hay Branch Elementary School on 8 May 2009. The event was enjoyed by all classes, which consisted on 1 st grade through 5 grade students. The event was headed up by Larry White with the following members in attendance: Ray Chapman, Leroy Jones, Hubert Dirr, Bob Hass, John Pratt, Paul Larue, Butch Spradling, Jim Rolleston, Lynn Kelch, Lee Mitchell and Terrance Williams. A DVD was shown showing some RC planes in flight, an explanation was given by Ray Chapman and John Pratt on RC equipment and how it made a plane work. Bob Hass explained how a control line model worked. An indoor demonstration of a RC helicopter was given by Lee Mitchell and his son, then an out door demonstration was given by Terrance Williams of a electric plane. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC P.O. BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 KILLEEN MALL SHOW 6 JUNE 2009 CEN-TEX Modelers Inc, held its annual Killeen Mall Show on 6 June 2009. Thirteen members were in attendance during the event. Set up started at 9:30AM and the show ran till 4:00PM. Members in attendance consisted of Larry White, John Pratt, Robert Hass, Charles Culver, Leroy Jones, Donald Alexander, Paul Larue, Jim Rolleston, Hubert Dirr, Jim Hillin, Eric Lindsey, Larry Johnson,Duane Kirkman and his wife. There were approximately 22 aircraft on display, ranging from big birds, trainers, multi-engine twins and helicopters of various sizes. The following pictures display both members and aircraft. BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY - DECEMBER 2009 The Club's Christmas party was held at the Golden Corral on Friday 11 Dec 09 We had 28 people there, including guests. The club treated all club member and their guests for dinner. The food was excellent and there was plenty to choose from. Everybody had a good time. After everyone had a good dinner, but still nibbling on the dessert, our club president Lynn Kelch welcomed everyone and wished them a good time here. He then passed out the tickets for the door prize. See Pictures below. Paul LaRue got both prices. The evening ended with Lynn wishing everyone "Happy Holidays". With all the Fun Jets and Strykers in the air at the same time it sounded like a swarm of bees. Looking down the line. We had some pilots from local clubs show up with some nice aircraft.

CEN-TEX MODELERS INC. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC P.O. BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 KILLEEN MALL SHOW 11 SEPTEMBER 2010 The annual Killeen Mall Show was held on 11 September 2010 in the center of the mall. The Mall folks gave us a bigger location, with the hope more interest will be generated by the general public. This year s event was headed by Hubert Dirr and was a great success. Again, Sears allowed us to use a large screen TV for use of the flight simulator software. Below are pictures reflecting the aircraft on display and club members that supported the event. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC. CEN-TEX MODELERS INC P.O. BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 KIDS WORLD KILLEEN MALL OCTOBER 2010 2010, the Cen-Tex Modelers participated on an event - Kids World - for children 3-11 years old at the Killeen Mall. The theme was -World of Flight-. Thanks go to Lee Mitchell, who volunteered to come, and help children make little airplanes out of Styrofoam, provided by the mall. Lee also demonstrated with his small helicopter several flights, which was a big "wow" for, which was a big "wow" for all the kids. The mall also gave all the kids a back pack for their participation in the event. Thanks Lee. Below are a few pictures of the event.

BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 DUNCAN SCHOOL PRESENTATION NOVEMBER 2010 A number of representatives of the club, Leroy Jones, Terrance Williams and Willie Moorman, gave a presentation on the principals of flight at the Duncan School located on Fort Hood. The club has done this in the past for this school and is really appreciated by the school staff and the students. The teachers flew pretty well too. We would like to thank Duncan for inviting us out. Leroy Jones at Duncan Elementary School to talk about RC planes and the Real flight 5.5 simulator on Nov. 12, 2010. The Kids had a great time learning about the hobby and some showed good promise in becoming future RC pilots. Terrance Williams showing a young lady how the radio controls work.

BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 Annual Christmas Party 10 December 2010 The annual club Christmas dinner was held on 10 December 2010 at the Killeen Golden Carroll. Over 30 club members and family members attended. A good time was had by all. An auction was held for a plane that Dan Smith donated to the club. Below are a few pictures of those that attended.

BOX 874 KILLEEN, TEXAS 76540 ALL SCALE FLY IN 8 OCTOBER 2011 The club s annual All Scale Fly In was held on 8 Oct 2011; however, due to inclement weather, high winds and threat of rain, the event was turned into a club fun fly. Considering the flying conditions, over 20 individuals attended. A good time was enjoyed by all that attended. Douglas Staines, Associate Vice President District VIII attended and presented Lee Mitchell with a Commendation for service to AMA. Below are some pictures of the event.
