Duo-Leaf Side Hinge Garage Doors from JD (UK) Ltd are a combination of modern materials, contemporary design and traditional practicality. The outer goal post frame of the door set is produced in a sleek, high quality aluminium extruded section with a 10yr warranty. This section provides a rigid anchor point for the door leaf sections to be hung from and firm points when securing to the structural opening. Modern internal corner clamps secure the 45 sections together, meaning no welding or weak points. The main door leaves are made from German engineered sandwich panels, which are formed to make a 45mm thick panel with steel outer and inner faces. They are then filled with polyurethane foam, which is normally associated with insulated products. External steel sheet Internal steel sheet Foamed polyurethane These panels then interlock together and in combination with the aluminium surrounding profile section produce a strong, maintenance free door leaf. Zinc coating 16 microns thick and double layer polyurethane coating (25-35 microns) on the panel outer surface which is modified with polyamide particles (PUR-PA) which protects the sandwich panels from scratches and abrasions caused by mechanical action and the effects of rain and coastal conditions.
Each door leaf is then secured to the outer goal post frame with modern, aluminium bodied and steel peg hinges. Each pair is capable of supporting 100kg gross leaf weight, making them more than sufficient in supporting our doors. The concealed nature of the hinge hides the hinges screws making them very secure against tamper. A standard low 12mm threshold is supplied which keeps the door low to the ground, however different options are available to help with uneven driveways. All of our doors are fitted with high quality, brushed aluminium lever handles, euro profile cylinders and a combined mortice latch with dead lock. The lock secures into a raised box keep for steadfast locking, ensuring peace of mind for the homeowner.

All dimensions for the height are determined from the zero marks. The largest of the dimensions of height (LH) and width (LW) of the opening are crucial in side door ordering for the installation behind the opening.
