Candidate for District 5 Governor 2016-2018 Joyce A. Combs Zonta Club of Defiance Classification: 1213 Business/Profession: Human Resources Title/Position: Salaried Human Resource Manager Joyce has been a member of Zonta since 2003. She has served her Club as President and as a Board Member. Currently she is her Club s Membership Chair, Bylaws Chair and on the Historical Committee. At the District level, Joyce has been a Director, LAA Chair and Centennial Anniversary Chair. This biennium, she is our District 5 Lt. Governor, Centennial Anniversary Chair and Birthing Kit Task Force Chair. Joyce is employed by General Motors as a Salaried Human Resource Manager. She is active in her community as a past Board Member and Board President for the Y.M.C.A and as a past Board Member of the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce.

2016-2018 Candidate for District 5 Lt. Governor Margot Hoffman Zonta Club of Columbus Classification: 1115 Business/Profession: The Partnership for Excellence Title/Position: President/CEO Margot has been a Zontian for over 20 years in three Clubs, Toledo, Melbourne, Australia and currently Columbus. She has served her Clubs as President, President-Elect/Program Chair, Treasurer and as a Board Director. She is currently the Area 4 Director and a Member of the District 5 Board. Margot also serves on the Nominating Committee of the Columbus Club. Dr. Hoffman is the CEO/President of The Partnership for Excellence, a state Baldrige-based program for Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia. She also does leadership consulting and is a member of her local Business Association. She loves hiking and boating with her husband, Bert and dog, Turbo. She also enjoy fitness exercise.

Candidate for Treasurer 2016-2018 Christine Jackson Zonta Club of Columbus Classification: 1313/2211 Business/Profession: Jobe & Associates Title/Position: Controller Crop Farmer Chris has been a member of Zonta since 2009 and has served her club in many capacities. She was the Club Treasurer for two bienniums, 2010-2012 and 2012-2014. She is currently Chair of the Club s Operations Committee, Co-Chair of the Finance Committee and an active member of the Amethyst, Silent Auction and Style Show Committees. Chris attended the 2014 Zonta International Convention in Orlando. Chris is the Controller for Jobe & Associates and grew up working in her father s CPA firm. She and her husband,tom,own Shady Side Farms. Chris enjoys travel, reading, genealogy and babying her miniature dachshund, Emmie.

Candidate for Area 1 Director Eileen K. Borchardt Zonta Club of Greater Sandusky Classification: 2421 Business/Profession: Sandusky Health Education Center Title/Position: Executive Director/College Lecturer Eileen has been a Zontian for over 29 years. She has held many roles within her Club including Board Member, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer for 4 years, Vice-President for 5 years and President for 5 years. She is their Club President this biennium. Eileen is the Executive Director of a non-profit, federally-funded program at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is also a College Lecturer on Management & Business courses. She has many hobbies like biking and travel and likes to read historical fiction or light mystery novels. Eileen is active on committees and as a Minister of the Word, at her Church. She won the Woman of Excellence, Community Volunteer Award in 2005.

Candidate for Area 2 Director Terri Purtee-Stein Zonta Club of Cincinnati Classification: 2221 Business/Profession: Marketing Communications Title/Position: Freelance Professional Terri joined Zonta over 9 years ago and is the immediate Past-President of her Club. She also was President-elect, Vice-President and a Board Director. She is her Club s Public Relations/Communications Chair this biennium. Terri has been the Public Relations/Communication Chair for District 5 and was a member of the Public Relations/Communications Committee for Zonta International. Her passion is dogs and she is active with Therapy Dogs International and Circle Tail, a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and trains them to be service animals for individuals with disabilities.

Candidate for Area 3 Director Sarojini Rao Zonta Club of Cleveland Classification: 2231 Business/Profession: IT Title/Position: Retired Sarojini has been a Zontian since 1996. She has served her Club of nearly 20 years in many ways, including Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President and President. She is currently their Club Treasurer. She worked at Progressive Insurance as an Associate Programmer Analyst from 1984 until her retirement in May of this year. Sarojini now has the time to enjoy many activities such as her Investment Club, Community Garden Coordinator and as a Volunteer Committee Chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Candidate for Area 4 Director Sharon E. Coffman Zonta Club of Marietta Classification: 2323 Business/Profession: RN, QI Specialist Title/Position: Retired Sharon has been a member of Zonta for over 4 years and is her Club s President this biennium. She has also served as Vice-President, a member of the Board of Directors,the Diva s & Deals Chair and Unique Boutique Chair. Sharon has recently retired, after 25 years of service, as an RN, Quality Improvement Specialist for Marietta Memorial Hospital. She volunteers for many organizations including 30 years of service for Eve, Incorporated a domestic violence shelter. She is currently their Secretary and a Member of the Board. She is very active on the fundraising committee organizing many events annually that support the shelter. Sharon enjoys baking, crocheting, camping and hunting and has been happily married to husband, John, for 21 years.

Candidate for Nominating Committee Ellen Spaeth Zonta Club of Cincinnati Classification: 3292 Business/Profession: Proctor & Gamble Title/Position: Project Manager Ellen has been a Zontian since 2003 and is currently our District 5 Governor. She has served her Club as President, President-elect and as a Board Member. Ellen has Chaired many Committees including Nominating and Technology. For District 5, Ellen has been Lt. Governor and Area 2 Director. Ellen has worked at Proctor & Gamble as a Professional Project Manager. When not working, she volunteers at St Margaret of York Catholic Church. She was a Team Captain for the Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk and has been a Bethany House Volunteer for the Women s Crisis Center, Mary Magdelan House. She enjoys reading, knitting and playing trivia games with friends. Ellen loves to travel with her Husband, Dan and walking their dogs, Bear & Mac.

Candidate for Nominating Committee Lois Jones Zonta Club of the Ashtabula Area Classification: 3212 Business/Profession: Title/Position: Retired Ashtabula City School Treasurer Lois has been a Zontian for 18 years. She has served her Club as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President and as a Board Member. She has Chaired many Committees and is currently the Women s Luncheon Co- Chair. Lois is also serving on the Club s Nominating Committee. Lois served District 5 as Treasurer for two bienniums, 2010-2012 and 2012-2014 She worked 35 years for Ashtabula Area City Schools. The last position held was as the School Treasurer. Lois is active with the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ashtabula. She has served as a Council Member, Council Secretary and is currently the Office Administrator and Finance Committee Chair. She enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and having fun with her grandchildren.

Candidate for Nominating Committee Deborah Wooldridge Zonta Club of Bowling Green Classification: 2422 Business/Profession: Title/Position: Bowling Green State University Professor and Director Deborah has been in Zonta for over 8 years and has been her Club s President, President-elect and on the Board of Directors. She is currently serving as their Past President and on their Fundraising Committee. She has served District 5 as Area 1 Director and the District 5 Board of Directors. Dr. Wooldridge is a University Professor and Director of the School of Family and Consumer Services, for Bowling Green State University. She also volunteers as the Director of the Tech Trek Camp at the University, serving 8 th grade girls and the STEM fields. She is on the AAUW Ohio Executive Board and is their Past President and Ohio STEM Chairperson. She was also the AAUW-BG, VP of Programming. Deborah spends a lot of time with her Havanese dogs,gia & Jaxs. She enjoys blues and jazz, live theater and reading Middle Eastern and Latin American plays and novels.
