Sectional HDD Reamer Package Recommended for Sand, Soft Soil, Sand Stone, Coral Mix and Gravel Carbides Internally welded leaving an external groove. Using a thin grinder blade, worn out carbides can be replaced and rewelded. Light Weight Barrel Allows the reamer to track back straighter and reduces deflection while being easier to handle and store. Large Cavity More room for soil and drilling fluids to mix. Flat Carbides 5/8 wide sharp edge carbides cuts debris and tree roots cleaner than existing industry shark tooth carbides. Standard Thread 2 3/8 thread will fit your machines adaptor.
Mixing Loops Extend past the reamer ring mixing fluids and soils like a blender. Reamer Heads Available in sizes ranging from 6 inches up to 24 inches. Mixing Soil Larger mixing area mixes soil and fluid more effectively. Fluid pressure is contained within the reamer to prevent over cutting of the bore hole. Large Allen Bolt Makes it easy to replace or change the reamer head. Swivel Tab Easy to remove and available in two sizes to fit standard industry swivels.
Swivel Tab Two sizes are available. Custom sizes can be ordered. Allen Bolt Simply remove and the reamer comes apart. Hex Shaft Fits all reamer sizes. No more buying heavy welded reamers. Common Thread All shafts come with 2 3/8-inch industry standard thread to fit your adaptor.
Optional 6.375 O.D. push back cap used after pre-reaming. Tee handle wrench fits the hex shaft and allen bolt.
Over 8 years of field testing in many soil types and conditions this new technology back reamer is ready for your projects. The current available design works great in sand, soft soils, gravels and coral mixed soil conditions. Other testing has been completed in clay soils and we will soon be releasing a new clay reamer design. Field testing was completed on every type and design of carbide cutters. Pointed carbides also rip roots and leave debris within the bore hole. The flat 5/8 wide sharp edge carbides on our reamers mixes the fluids and soil more evenly while cutting roots and debris cleanly. Pointed carbides plow soils and will not mix soils and fluids evenly. Arborist have approved the flat sharp edge 5/8 carbides to bore under trees because roots are cut clean. Pipe pull back pressure is reduced because the back reamer makes a straighter back reamed hole. This reamer design works great in water table and sand conditions because the reamer is lighter weight and does not drop during the back-reaming process. Currently this is the only back reamer being used to install flat grade gravity sewer systems. Years of on the job field testing has proven that this reamer will last as long as any on the market. Our design uses lamination to create the strength while keeping the weight down. The lamination design makes this reamer even strong enough to cut holes through concrete manholes with reinforcement steel. The three-piece design allows the operator to change tool sizes using a simple allen wrench. No more pipe wrenches or stem wrenches. Once the allen bolt is removed, the swivel tab is unscrewed, and reamer is removed. The HDD machine operator can now pull the shaft up to the HDD rig and removes the shaft using the jaws on the rig. There are two types of swivel connection tabs available to fit the existing industry available swivels, without using clevises. If you pre-ream your installations, the convenient push back tool is quick to install and provides a smooth push back. Another benefit is the outer carbide cutters can be removed and replaced using a thin grinding wheel and welding replacement carbides in place. It is more cost effective not having to purchase expensive back reamers that come with a welded shaft. The harden steel shaft will last longer than the reamer head and replacement reamer heads are much more cost effective without having to purchase a new shaft every time you buy a reamer. Because of the light weight design, handling and storage is more convenient, you can pick up our 24-inch reamer with one hand. HDD TOOL STORE, LLC. TRENCHLESS TOOLS BUILT FROM FIELD EXPERIENCE
