Get thready to love Thank you sew much for signing up to Crafternoon. You ve just made the first step towards raising vital funds for Mind. You really are doing so much to champion for better mental health, and we want you to know how much we appreciate it. The conversations you have and the money you raise from your Crafternoon means so much to us. Together we ll make sure everyone with a mental health problem gets support and respect. You re our hero! What is Crafternoon? Crafternoon means getting together with a few friends, family or colleagues to get crafty and raise money for Mind. 97% of people who took part in Crafternoon said they d want to hold another one. We hope you love Crafternoon just as much as they did! Every penny you raise will help us make sure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

3 things to remember 1 2 3 You don t have to be an expert crafter Never crafted before? No problem. Crafternoon is as simple as getting together and creating something. It could be sewing, painting, papercraft or even woodwork. Whatever takes your fancy. Hold the Crafternoon that s right for you Feel free to start small by inviting one or two close friends for a catch-up and a cuppa, and try out a few crafts together. You can always go bigger next time! It s about having fun Have a go, make a mess, and don t worry too much about the finished product.

My CrafternoonChecklist Stick this checklist on your fridge and tick it off as you go along. Make the decision to raise money for Mind Sign up for my Crafternoon pack Organise my crafts It can be as simple as mug painting, card making or something more traditional like knitting. Think about what your guests want to do and what you d enjoy best. Pick a date and time We ve found that Saturday afternoons are the most popular, but Crafternoons can be held at any time of the day or night. Why not tie it into something you re doing with friends or family already? Once you have your date planned, let the Mind team know so that you can get the best possible support in making your Crafternoon a success. Need some craft-spiration? Check out our crafty templates and suggested suppliers list at mind.org.uk/craftcupboard Invite my guests Use the invites and poster in this pack or set up an event on Facebook and share it with all of your friends. Don t worry if you ve only got a few people coming, you re still making a difference to Mind. Choose a venue Most people hold their Crafternoon at home. However if you did want to use a different venue then try a cafe, pub or community hall. Create a buzz by sharing updates leading up to your Crafternoon on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Use #Crafternoon and @MindCharity

How to send in your donation By post Fill in your donation form with cheques or your credit or debit card details (please do not send cash). Make sure to include your name and address so we know the money came from you. Put everything in the freepost envelope included in your pack and pop it in the post.
