Coat: (larger royal blue rectangle) Glue the stripes on the white rectangle in a vertical position as shown Hold the rectangle in a horizontal position; cut off the top two corners and round (See TLC Cuts for hill cut instructions) Glue the rectangle in a horizontal position above the text as shown 5.) Shirt: (white square) 6.) Tie: (short red rectangle) Fold the rectangle in half; hold the folded rectangle in a vertical position; cut on a diagonal line from corner to corner to make three triangles (See TLC Cuts for triangle cut instructions) Put a dot of glue on each point of the largest triangle and glue the shirt on the coat as shown Cut off the four corners; make the top two corners bigger and the bottom two corners smaller Glue the tie on the shirt as shown pg 2

Ears: (smaller light brown rectangle) Cut an oval; (See TLC Cuts for oval cut instructions) make the bottom two corner cuts bigger than the top two corners [The pointed chin is the feature that makes the head look like Barack Obama] Glue the head in a vertical position; overlap the shirt and tie as shown 10.) Mouth: (shorter white rectangle) Fold the rectangle in half so you can cut two ears at a time Hold the folded rectangle in a horizontal position; cut off the top two corners and round; if the pieces are connected cut apart on the fold line Lift the head and glue the ears as shown Hold the rectangle in a horizontal position; cut off the top two corners and round Glue the mouth on the face as shown pg 3

Details: (black and brown crayons) Fold the rectangle in half so you can cut two eyes at a time Cut a pointed oval; (See TLC Cuts for pointed oval cut instructions) if the pieces are connected cut apart on the fold line Glue the eyes on the face as shown When drawing the hair start by drawing a straight line a short distance from the top of the head. Draw a slanted straight line from the ears to the hairline.
