Fabric B - Cut 2 strips 7 x WOF, then subcut into forty-eight strips 1-1/4 x 7. - Cut 2 strips 8-1/2 x WOF, then subcut into forty-eight strips 1-1/4 x 8-1/2. Interfacing: - Cut thirty-nine squares 5 x 5. Step 1: Appliqué the Circles Assembly Instructions - Trace the Circle Template onto the center of the interfacing squares (you will trace onto the NON-fusible side). - Place an interfacing square on top of a 5 charm square, aligning the edges. The right side of the fabric will be facing the fusible side of the interfacing. - Carefully sew along the drawn line and then trim excess seam allowance to 1/4. Tip: For a more accurate seam, use a shorter stitch length when sewing curves. - Cut a slit in the center of the interfacing and flip the circle right side out. Finger press flat (do not use an iron!). - Center the circle, interfacing down, on a Fabric A 7 square and press with an iron to affix. - Appliqué the circle to the Fabric A square using your preferred method. A few suggestions are: machine edge-stitch, zig-zag, slip-stitch by hand. You could also wait and appliqué the circles while you are quilting the top. This will make the circles puff out a bit. - Repeat to make a total of thirty-nine appliquéd blocks. Appliquéd Block Make 39 page 3

This way you can make sure you have the prints properly distributed around the top. - Sew a Fabric B 1-1/4 x 7 strip to either side of an appliqued block. Press seam allowances toward Fabric B and then sew a Fabric B 1-1/4 x 8-1/2 strip to the remaining sides. Press seam allowances toward Fabric B. - Repeat to make twenty-four Fabric B sashed blocks. make 24 - Sew a Fabric C 1-1/4 x 7 strip to either side of an appliquéd block. Press seam allowances toward Fabric C and then sew a Fabric C 1-1/4 x 8-1/2 strip to the remaining sides. Press seam allowances toward Fabric B. - Repeat to make fifteen Fabric C sashed blocks. make 15 Step 3: Assemble the Quilt Top - Follow the diagram on the right to assemble the quilt top. Assemble diagonal rows first with the Fabric C triangles on each end and then sew the rows together to complete the top. Your top is complete. Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy! page 4
