Business Programme 822 people attended the business programme events and over 40 speakers delivered reports this year Business programme started on April 24 with the seminar Modern Methods for Determining the Gas concentration attended by the leading metrology specialists of the D.I. Mendeleyev Metrology Institute, and the seminar Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry as a solution for topical issues of contemporary science which presented the potential of the method for substance identification in different fields of study - petrochemistry, metabolomics, herbalomics, etc. The report on the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry development with orbital ion trap as a screening method in doping tests presented by Edward Viryus, leading researcher of the Laboratory of Functional Proteomics and Metabolomics at the Institute of General Pathology and Pathophysiology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, as well as the report on the mass spectrometry use in refinery operations and petrochemistry presented by Efim Brodsky, a famous specialist, head of laboratory at the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution, sparked off animated discussions. The sessions included: The seminar Management System in Analytical Laboratories. New Version of the Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 was held on April 25. The specialists of AAC Analytics described the differences between the current and the previous versions of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard and spoke about practical aspects of laboratory accreditation for compliance with the new standard. As many as 400 people attended the seminar. At the training seminars organized by the specialists of Vialek Group for the employees of pharmaceutical production companies the speakers presented rules for out-of-specification investigations of the laboratory test results, differences between transfer, verification and validation and specific and unusual problems in high performance liquid chromatography. Around 200 specialists attended the seminars. The Food analysis conference was held on April 25. The scientists of the leading food chemistry research centers in Moscow, Voronezh, Kazan, Krasnodar and the real sector representatives (Cherkizovo LAB, Innovation Center Biruch-NT) discussed the issues related to laboratory operation at food production facilities, design and accreditation.
