USING THE ARTISTRY SKIN ANALYZER Conducting a skin analysis, linking and recommending product bundles is so much easier now we have the ARTISTRY Skin Analyzer. The Skin Analyzer will add credibility to the Signature Solutions Skin Transformation Program. The customer will be able to see a visual description of their skin health and condition. We also know that a visual image is much more powerful than listening to verbal content and their skin that they are looking at, this will have meaningful impact. The first step is to introduce the customer to the Signature Solutions Skin Transformation Program. Use the script Signature Solutions Consultation. You can navigate the analysis by using the remote control buttons on the Analyzer (diagram 1) OR You can do this manually from the Remocon (remote) on the App on your IOS or Android device or laptop (diagram 2). The camera is inserted behind the moisture sensor. The moisture sensor is placed against the skin to take an image. (diagram 3) 1

To get started Turn on the ARTISTRY Skin Analyzer Make sure your ARTISTRY Skin Analyzer is linked to your ASA number on your Wi-Fi Open the App icon on your desktop Click on Customer To set up a new customer. Click on New Customer For a Repeat Customer The Skin Analyzer app stores & saves the details of all your customers so if it is a repeat visit you just need to click on their name. You can delete the customer at any time by ticking the box next to their name and click delete. Answer AGREE to both disclaimers Click on OK Fill out the Customer Registration. Make sure you put in accurate information such as age range, gender, skin tone Light- Medium or Medium to Dark as the data base is measured on this information. You can also put in added information in the memo notes. Press 2

Find the name on the Customer List, tick box and open Press START ANALYSIS Note: The questions don t impact the results. Go through each of the 17 questions. The questions will give you an introduction to their skincare routine and lifestyle. You can also download this questionnaire. At the end of the questionnaire, confirm again with your Customer Your main skin concern is PRESS HYDRATION or click the remocon arrow down. Press Remocon On to show navigator (if it doesn t automatically show) Start with Hydration. 3

NOTE: Test on Right side of the face for all 8 skin tests. HYDRATION Instructions: 1. Point the ARISTRY Skin Analyzer to the screen and press the capture button NOTE: There are two tests that request that you press the capture button, wait for the beep sound and then place on the skin. You don t need to do anything else but hold the sensor to the skin. Do not press the capture button again. The results will then show. The two tests are Hydration and Elasticity. 2. When you hear the beep sound, put the sensor (ARTISTRY Skin Analyzer) immediately onto your skin, on the right side of the face, as seen on the screen and wait until you hear the beep sound again. If you get a time out message, you have taken too long to put the sensor on the face from the beep sound. Press the capture button again and wait for the beep sound and put the sensor immediately onto the face. The result will appear. This is your result against the average of the data base. The data base is the white line and grey bar graph. Your result is the gold dot and the gold bar graph. You can visually see how your result compares to the data base. This customer shows that her hydration is a little lower than the data base. 4

The next test is Sebum oil in the skin Click on Sebum or use the Remocon arrow to navigate to the next step, Sebum 1. Put the sebum paper onto the U-Zone on the cheek area (as displayed on the first screen) and press for 2-3 seconds. The pink dot must be against the skin. 2. Press the capture (camera) button to activate the camera. 3. Put the sebum paper up to the camera probe (pink side facing the camera), hold in place and capture a picture using the top capture button. 4. Make sure you hold the paper close to the probe so that the entire paper is seen on the screen before you capture the image. 5. Put the second sebum paper onto the T-Zone on the forehead (as displayed on the second screen) and press for 2-3 seconds. The pink dot must be against the skin. 6. Press the capture button to activate the next screen. 5

The result of the T Zone will show. 7. Put the sebum paper up to the camera probe (pink side facing the camera), hold in place and capture a picture using the top capture button. 8. Make sure you hold the paper close to the probe so that the entire paper is seen on the screen before you capture the image. 9. Press Analysis to show the results. Oil will show on the screen as red spots or patches. As you can see on the left side slide, the U Zone, there is little evidence of oil. As you can see on the right side slide, the T Zone, there is also little evidence of oil. You will see the results appear on the screen. This Sebum result shows that the Skin Type is Combination. If not sure, go to show all results or press the analysis button and it will show in the Sebum result. Discard the sebum papers as they can t be used again. To navigate to the next step, click on Pore or use the remocon arrow button. PORE Test 1. Press the camera button to activate the camera mode. 6

2. Note:press firmly but too hard against the skin. 3. Put the camera sensor to the skin, on the right side of the face, in the area displayed on the screen and press the camera button to capture the image. 4. An image of the pores of your skin will appear on the screen. You can see that the skin is magnified X30. 5. The red circles are highlighting the pores. 6. This customer has fine pores. Click on Analysis if the results don t automatically show. When you press the compare button your customer s skin will display against 3 sample images. Scroll across to see a comparison of Good, Precaution and Care Needed against your customer s skin. Comparison of customer s skin against skin that care is needed. Pore Compare sample. To navigate to the next step, click on Pigmentation or use the remocon arrow. Pigmentation Test Press the camera button to activate the camera. Put the camera sensor against the skin, on the right side of the face, as shown on the screen. Touch the camera button to capture the image. 7

A snapshot of your skin will appear. Press Analysis to get the result. The result will show if care is needed. You will see brown patches on the skin that represents the pigmentation. Click on Analysis. The dark grey bar on the graph shows the average data base result. The gold bar is the customers result. Press the Compare button to compare your customer s skin against Good, Precaution and Care Needed so that she/he can see the difference. Scroll across to compare. To navigate to the next step, click on Radiance or use the remocon arrow button. RADIANCE test 1. Press the camera button to activate the camera. 2. Put the camera sensor against the skin, on the right side of the face, as shown on the screen. 3. Touch the camera button to capture the image. 8

A snapshot of your skin will appear. 4. Press Analysis to get the result. The dark grey bar on the graph shows the average result for your age, gender and skin tone. It will display the Radiance Results as Good, Precaution or Care Needed. Press the Compare button to compare your customer s skin against Good, Precaution and Care Needed so that she/ he can see the difference. Scroll across to compare. The lower the number of the graph (gold bar), the more radiant your skin is. Radiance mode gives a calculated value based on the pigmentation value and skin evenness value. Therefore the lower melanin you have and the more even/smooth (less rough) your skin is, the result will be less than the red bar. To navigate to the next step, click on Elasticity or use the remocon arrow button. ELASTICITY test 1. Point the Skin Analyzer to the screen and press the capture button. 2. When you hear the beep sound, put the sensor (Skin Analyzer) onto your skin, right side of the face, as seen on the screen and wait until you hear the beep sound again. Press the camera button to activate the camera. Put the analyser against the skin on the cheek area, on the right side of the face, as shown on the screen. Touch the camera button to capture the image. Click on Analysis if the results don t automatically show 8

The elasticity results will show. To navigate to the next step, click on Wrinkle or use the remocon arrow button. Press the capture button to activate the camera. Press the sensor firmly to the skin, right side of face, but not too hard. It should be placed to the outside corner of the eye (see image). Press the capture button to take an image. For the Wrinkle result, a low result is good. In this slide you can see that the result is Good but it is right on the average line. Other results will show as Precaution and Care Needed Press the Compare button to compare the Customer s skin to images of Good, Precaution and Care Needed. This customer shows that her reading in the same as the data base. 9

To navigate to the next step, click on Acne or use the remocon arrow button. This slide will show inflammation and congestion within the skin. 1. Press the camera button to activate the camera mode 2. Put the camera sensor to the skin, on the right side of the face, in the area displayed on the screen and press the camera button to capture the image Press analysis to get the result. A low reading is good. You can see here that this customer has a low reading so there is no apparent congestion under the skin. Press the compare button to compare your Customer s skin against Good, Precaution and Care Needed. Scroll across to compare the results. To navigate to the next step, click on Sensitivity or use the remocon arrow button. 1. Press the camera button to activate the camera mode 2. Put the camera sensor to the skin, on the cheekbone of the right side of the face, in the area displayed on the screen. Press the camera button to capture the image. If testing at different times of the day, always ask what activities they have been doing or have they just been out in the sun? E.g. just been for a 30 minute brisk walk in full sunlight. 10

Press analysis to show the result. The result will show if care is needed. You will see red patches on the skin that represents the sensitivity. The dark grey bar on the graph shows the average data base result. The gold bar is the customers result. You can see here that the customer s skin is sensitive and care is needed. Press the Compare button to compare your customer s skin against Good, Precaution and Care Needed so that she/he can see the difference. Scroll across to compare. When you have completed Sensitivity and all of the 9 analysis areas, Press Show all Results The dark grey area on the pentagon shows Care Needed (Elasticity is shown here for this customer). The light grey area on the web shows areas to maintain with precaution. The white areas on the web show areas of no concern. Congestions: Sebum: Sensitivity: Pore: Shows condition Shows skin type Shows condition Shows size of the pores and texture of the skin 11

If you hold your cursor over each of the conditions e.g. Congestion or Elasticity, you will see the product recommendations. Click on Show Recommended Product. Signature Solutions recommended ARTISTRY Product Bundle will show. Place an Order. Step 1: When your customer has decided on the product, click on the SHOPPING TROLLEY Shop Now function button. You will need to be connected to the Internet. Step 2: Select the products to order and ADD TO CART. You are not logged onto the Amway website. As you are not logged onto the Amway website, the prices will show Retail Price. Step 3. The website will ask you to log in. If you want to place the order under your own name, when you are not with the customer, you can follow through with the normal order procedures. The customer won t see this ordering process and you can separately charge the customer the retail amount. 12

Step 4: If you want to place the order with the customer, you can set the customer up as a VIP. On the LOGIN page of the website, click on Don t have an account? Find out more. Step 5: Click on REGISTER NOW. Step 7: Fill out the NEW CLIENT INFORMATION When confirmed you can proceed with the order showing the Retail Price. Click on Send Email to forward the results to your customer. You will need to reconnect to the internet to send an email. Note: This image is from an ipad. This is the image you will get from your laptop. 12

If sending from a laptop: 1. Save the Analysis Summary to e.g. Desktop or Documents 2. An email will automatically be generated with the customer s email address. Find the Analysis Summary from your Desktop or Documents. 3. You can also attach other documents that you have saved e.g. Product Bundle Sheets. 4. Attached the documents to your email. Complete your email thanking the customer for the appointment and instructions for the next appointment. 13

Sending an email from an ipad 1. Click on Send Email 2. The customer s Analysis Summary will automatically attached to the email. Fill out your email. 3. Make sure you are connected to the internet. 4. Press OK with this alert. 5. Send email. To close the customer profile and finish the consultation, press Save & Close. An alert will appear. Click on OK to close and save. 14
