Hello! I m William Musa Zulu I m a Graphic Designer and Photographer currently based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I design for Print and Digital Publishing, working across a wide range of disciplines including user experience, layout and Branding. I work with diverse layouts of different dimensions including Posters, Calendars, Magazines, etc. I also have experience in Videography and Social Media marketing. Most of the work that I have done started out as a challenge and as you will see I managed to explore my creative side to bring only the best. Throughout my career, I have always tried to ensure that the passion and enthusiasm for my work has shone through. Despite my success as an independent designer, I have found that it is through a team that I have achieved my greatest potential. Umthombo iconnect Artists from Bulawayo came together for a 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence photoshoot. The theme of the photoshoot was to synchronize different artistry with the #EndGBV activism, as seen from the quotes on the pictures. Artists in different fields of music, poetry, photography, filmmakers, musicians, animators, fashion designers, and models all came together to show that outside their different professions, they have zero tolerance for violence. They also had a discussion during the photoshoot on how to #EndGBV and most of the discussed issues will be put up on their personal blogs and shared via social media. Umthombo iconnect is an upcoming initiative from Bulawayo that seeks to engage with people from different backgrounds through social conversations. It is by no means an error or maybe coincidence that orange is the official shade of Umthombo s logo. It s a strong outspoken color that cannot go unseen. It is also the color for the activism against Gender Based Violence. The Umthombo iconnect team also does podcasts on social issues every month. They have already released the art cover and podcast, which is a story of a young lady abused by her husband because she earns more than him (until she couldn t take it anymore). Zimbo Music Studios ZimboMusic.com is a Website that allows Artists to upload and share their songs and albums. Visitors of the Website can browse music, listen and download. After a few Years later they launched their Recording Label ( Zimbo Music Studios), which they record, promote and shoot videos for their Artists. Umthombo iconnect October is the Internationally recognized month for breast cancer awareness. Umthombo iconnect took the opportunity again to come up with a podcast to spread awareness on this topic. I worked with them to come up with a themed cover for the podcast.
