Baby Lock Stabilizer ips While all Baby Lock Stabilizer provides a great foundation, it comes in a variety of styles for very different projects. Here are some great tips on how to get the most out of your stabilizer: 1. You wouldn t start a recipe without checking the pantry, right? Before you start your next embroidery project, take a quick inventory of your sewing room to make sure you have all of the Baby Lock stabilizer you ll need. 7. Keep your interfacings organized by storing them in separate file folders. Staple the printed instructions to the outside of the file folder. Store all the scraps in the folder, too. his will really come in handy for all of your projects! 2. Most types of Baby Lock stabilizers are available in both black and white to use with darker or lighter shades of fabrics. 3. If you are using a white stabilizer on white fabric and it still shows through, try using the beige versions of No-Show Mesh or No-Show Mesh Fusible. 4. Pre-cut several pieces of stabilizer to fit your hoop at one time. It takes virtually no effort and will save you time in the long run. 5. Whenever a pattern calls for a piece of cardboard to be used in a project to add shape, substitute it with Baby Lock s Firm ~ Flex. It s supportive AND washable! 6. When fusing fabrics and adhesive backings, avoid a big mess by making sure your iron is set on dry mode. 8. Baby Lock Rinse~Away is perfect for foundation piecing. It provides incredible stability, but rinses away to eliminate bulk. 9. Use Baby Lock stabilizer when embroidering a garment that will be worn and washed often. he stays behind the embroidery design and continues to support both the garment and the embroidery to prevent the design from stretching and curling. 10. Depending on the density of your fabric and embroidery design, you may need to use more than one layer of stabilizer. Do a quick test with the fabric and design combination you are working with to determine the amount of stabilizer needed. 11. Before using Aqua Set Water Activated stabilizer or any water soluable topping, check your fabric to ensure it won t stain when wet.
