3 different lengths. Pocket options for medium and long length EU sizes: 34-54 (US: 4-24) This pattern is copyrighted, with all rights reserved. You may print copies of the PDF for your own use. You may not make duplicate copies of either the printed pattern, or the PDF file to share. You are not allowed to sell, trade, or share this pattern in any form. Small home based business are allowed to sell finished items made from this pattern.

Before you start: Read all instructions before starting project. Seam allowance is NOT included, add that were two pieces are sewn together. Do not add allowance where you re going to add binding. I usually have a seam allowance of 0.6 cm since I use a serger with a seam that is 0.5cm wide. A flowy stretchy knitted fabric is suitable for this pattern. Prewash all fabrics before sewing to avoid color bleeding and shrinking. Measure the test square on the first page to make sure you printed correctly. It should measure exactly 4x4 cm (or 2x2 ) Make sure you are using the most up to date version of Adobe Reader. You will need: Sewing machine Scissors Thread Ballpoint needle (in machine) Wonder clips or pins Fabric Measuring tape Fabric requirements: The pattern does not include seam allowance. Fabric requirements are based on fabric with a width of 150cm. Short cardigan: 80cm + ribbing Medium length cardigan: 150cm + ribbing Long length cardigan: 180cm + ribbing If you wish to use the same fabric for the ribing, add that to the total. Fabric requierments for the ribbing can be found on the pattern. 2

It is possible to print only certain sizes using the layers function in acrobat. Select the Layers tab. Unselect the sizes you do not want to print, leave the last layer selected. When printing make sure your printer settings are set to Actual size and Auto portrait/landscape. The files can be printed on Letter and A4 Tape the pattern together as shown to the right. Tip: Cut of the top and left edge of each pattern piece. Line up each line so the triangles meet and form a diamond. Do not cut out pattern pieces before taping all of the pages together. 3

Cut out all parts (do not forget to add seam allowance); 1back piece on the fold 2 front pieces mirrored 2 sleeve cuffs 1 band for edge Optional: 2 pocket pieces (mirrored) Pockets Fold down the top edge about 1.5cm, pin. Sew With a stretch stitch sew down the hem. A decor stitch, twin needle or just a zigzag stitch works. Attaching pocket to front piece Put the pocket piece wrong side to right side of front piece. 5

Pin in place The edge of the pocket and the front piece should align perfectly. Repeat for the other pocket and front piece. Side seams Put the front pieces right sides together with the back piece. Make sure that the pockets are in position. Sew the shoulder seams and side seams together. Cuffs and band Fold your cuffs right sides together, pin and sew. Take your band piece and fold it right sides together. If you are making a larger size you might have two pieces to sew together to get the correct length. Sew together and you shoulld now have the band in a loop. Fold cuffs Fold the sleeve cuffs, wrong sides together, in half. 6

Attaching cuffs to sleeves Put the cuff piece inside the sleeve, right sides together. Align the seams. Pin Pin the cuffs evenly around the sleeve end and sew in place. Band Fold the large band in half, right sides together. Attaching the band Pin the band all around the edge of the cardigan, right sides together. Align the seams as you want. If you had to sew multiple pieces together to get it long enough then align the seams as you want. Evenly distribute the band around. 7

Sew around Sew around the edge. On the shorter versions you can topstitch to keep the band seam in place. Top stitch pockets To keep the pocket in place you need to top stitch a little at the edges. See next step. Where to sew See the little markings on the image (red) this is where you want to sew to keep the pocket in place. Done Enjoy your new cardigan and show it off!
