installation (continued) top panels CRITICAL STEP: Position all Top Panels into place before attaching them!! caution top panel label position Lifting and placing Top Panels requires two people. 1. Attach the Top Panels at the End Panels first. Refer to the Specific Part List and layout plan drawing for the correct order. For correct placement, the part number label must be on the top-rear surface. use the Spacer Blocks to ensure proper spacing when attaching the top panels 2. Slide each Top Panel section under the lip of the Wall Rail. Be sure that the edge banded sides are facing outward. The splices between the individual Top Panel sections can only occur centered over a Divider Panel and Splice Connector. Adjust the Top Panels for the best fit, with the front surfaces lining up to each other. 3. Set the overhang of the Top Panel to be 1 /8 beyond the End Panel on both the left and right side. The edge banding on the right and left sides of the Top Panel should overhang the outside surface of the End Panels. Use the Spacer Blocks to set each Divider panel. If the Top Panel does not fit or is too large/small: No parts should require any cutting. Check the dimensions of the Wall Rail and the full bank. Check that the bank matches the drawing. Verify that part numbers match the Specific Part List for that bank. 1 /8 Overhang End panel top panel 4. Force each Top Panel to be tight with the End Panels and Divider Panels while attaching. This will require two people. 5. With the Top Panels in position, attach the Top Brackets in each End Panel to the Top Panels using two #8 x 5 /8 Pan Head Screws (#1) in each. 6. Attach the Corner Brackets on the End Panels to the Top Panels using one #8 x 5 /8 Pan Head Screw (#1) in each. 7. Tighten the screws in the Splice Connectors into the Top Panel Sections. 30

Consult the layout plan drawing for shelf placement based on the dimensions of a column. Consult the layout plan drawing for hole patterns for shelf placement on End Panels. Consult the layout plan drawing for any Special Panels needed and any special parts Once all parts are placed back in order by bank, begin the installation as instructed. If a Door Set needs to be removed: Top Panels must first be removed. Use a 2x4 and a Wonderbar to apply leverage to the bottom of the Extrusion to force it up and off of the pins. This requires two people. If an Extrusion or Door Set will not engage all three screws or is difficult to place: Slightly loosen the screws on the front edge of the panel. 36
