Items being bid on and the date bids are to be opened must be identified on the face of the envelope in the lower left- hand corner. Bids filed with the City Clerk shall be opened publicly and read aloud in the City Council Chambers at the time stated above or later. All bids shall be considered by the Mayor and City Council prior to the contract being awarded. City of Midwest City Specifications for the Purchase of Portable Forensic LASER Scanning Technology Overview The purpose of this request for bids is to equip the Midwest City Police Department with latest technology in forensic scanning hardware and software to produce better documentation and quality of work for our community. In short, achievable goals and objectives are to document fatality vehicle accidents and violent crimes with a significant amount of detail and in a shorter amount of time. Portable Forensic LASER scanner shall be able to capture fast, straightforward and highly accurate measurements of complex objects and structures. The scanner shall be able to provide scanning results in challenging environments, narrow areas, dusty or humid areas, in rain or direct sunlight with a distance accuracy up to plus or minus 3mm. Portable Forensic LASER scanning equipment shall be able to be used inside structures, vehicles, outdoors, confined areas, closets, bodies, hazardous situations, and virtually anywhere which the system may be needed. Portable Forensic LASER scanner needs to provide up to several million measurements which allows for extremely detailed images, diagrams, 2D and 3D scans. Below are minimum specifications.
