WHAT MAKES A GOOD PAD There are 4 major factors to determine the quality of a scrubbing pad. Microscope Comparison 1. Fibre Denier This refers to the thickness of the fibre and is most important. Pad fibres are often stretched during use, putting thinner strands of fibre at a disadvantage. Thinner fibres tend to snap as they are not strong enough. Since thicker fibres are able to resist this process longer, this results in more durable pads. 2.
