Graduated from China Academy of Railway Science with a Master degree of Science in 1984. Worked in the Academy from 1984 to 1990 as a researcher and a bridge engineer. Graduated from Concordia University, Department of Civil Engineering with a Ph. D in 1995. Have been working for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) since 1998. As a senior transportation engineer, proud of working on the life time project Self-Anchored Suspension Span of San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge for many years from design, fabrication to construction. Have worked for private companies for several years before joining the Caltrans. Married with my beloved wife Yanli Tang since 1985, with two lovely daughters. I am married to John Feng with a wonderful daughter Christine in college, and a lovely dog Marshall. I enjoy exercising, shopping, cooking and traveling.
