Module 3, Lesson 1 Webinars That Convert The Life-Webinar Phase The 10-Point Preparedness Checklist Hey there, welcome to Module 3, the Live Webinar Phase. I am most excited about this module because this is where you get to connect with your audience, where you get that engagement. Really, you get to reap the rewards of all of the work you have done up until this point to get your webinar system up and running. This is where the magic happens. I am really excited for you to dive in here and Lesson #1 is The 10-Point Preparedness Checklist. What You Will Discover! The Big Picture: How to Get Prepared for a live webinar. What you need to know, what you need to do, what not to do. I ll cover it all inside this video.! Eliminates Live Webinar Jitters that you usually get right when you hop on live.! Ensures Your Slides Run Smoothly! Fixes Audio Glitches in Advance! Boosts the Potential for a High-Converting Webinar if you prepare in advance like I am going to teach you. If you show up late or you drop your energy right away or your slides are glitchy you are going to lose viewers. If you lose viewers you lose potential profits. I want to make sure everything is working smoothly.! Cheat Sheet: 10-Point Preparedness Checklist. I have a cheat sheet for everything I am going to teach you on this video. It can be printed out and used in advance to make sure you are ready the day you go live with your webinar. Page 1

The Big Picture Showing up prepared can literally make or break your webinar success, just like anything in life. You have to show up prepared. My goal is to make you aware of some of those areas that are really easy to overlook. I also want to give you the right mindset before you go live. It s not just about the little tasks you do, it s also about what s between your ears, what s going on there, before you jump on live. Getting your mind right and getting all of the little and big things you need to do before you hit broadcast will make you feel really confident about delivering an impeccable webinar presentation. Point 01: SLIDE CHECK: Have Someone Edit Your Slide Deck to Check For Typos, Correct Links, Images Show Up Properly, Builds Are Working, Etc. This is easy to overlook because you are busy doing everything else. After you finish your slide presentation I want you to have someone edit your slide deck to check for typos, to check all of the links you might add to your presentation (telling someone to go to a website or to check out a book or whatever it might be). Someone needs to check and be sure all of your links are correct, the URLs are correct inside your slide deck. You want to make sure the images are showing up properly and the different builds are working. You want a second set of eyes on your slide deck. That is really important. You want to do this at least a few days before you go live so if there are any issues you can fix them before the day of. Page 2

Point 02: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT: Present Your Webinar From Start to Finish At Least Three Times Before Going Live. Do It Two Times Without Stopping! You can practice your webinar by yourself or, if you want to, you can have a few friends jump online so that you have an audience. I want you to present the webinar from start to finish at least three times before going live. This is really for the newbies. If you have been doing webinars for a long time and you are a part of this program because you want to up your game then you probably don t need to take this step. If you are just starting out I want you to go through the motion three times. Two of the times you should go through without stopping. If there is something wrong you just have to keep going. But the first time you do it, if you need to stop and take some notes because you want to fix something later I totally get it. I do want two times where you start it by, Hey guys, so glad you are here all the way to Thank you for being here, have a wonderful day. I want you to go through start to finish without stopping. What you will find, especially the first time you go through it where you are allowed to take notes, you will find that you want to change some slides around. You are going to want the flow to change a little bit. You are going to think you are too wordy on one area and haven t said enough in another area. That s good. You actually don t start to see those things unless you start to actually pretend it s live and you go for it. You can look at the slides a million times just by clicking through. But when you are presenting them you start to feel where there is something that might be off. It s really interesting how that works but I promise it works that way. Page 3

Point 03: MOCK IT UP: Spend One Hour To Get Familiar With Your Tech Platform And Then Run A Mock Webinar: Test Your Slides And Audio On The Platform When you are running a mock webinar you don t necessarily need to do it from start to finish. I just mean to test run your slides with that platform and checking your audio. Have someone on with you to run a mini webinar for a few minutes just so you understand how the platform works. If you are using GoToWebinar I want you to spend some time with that technology. The same with Google Hangout or EasyWebinar. Whatever you choose, spend a little time with the platform. If you don t, I promise you something will pop up and you will have no clue where to turn or what to do to fix it. This hour before the webinar is going to be worth your time. I want you to do these things days leading up to the live webinar, not the day of the live webinar. Point 04: GET A SIDEKICK: Plan To Have A VA On Skype To Support You And Your Audience During Your Presentation (Never Do IT Alone!) Get a VA. If you already have a VA that s is perfect, you are golden. Make sure they calendar in the time when you will be on the live webinar and they need to be your sidekick. They can be live on Skype and you can have Skype on your phone or another computer and you can communicate with them in case there are any tech issues or any problems that come up. There are a lot of other roles that your VA can play. The next video is all about the roles a VA can take. There are four different roles that one VA can play on a live webinar to help you support your audience and generate more revenue. It s all about engagement, support, and more profits. We ll get into that in the next video. Page 4

For this checklist I just want to make sure you plan to have somebody in a VA support role on your webinar to make sure you are fully supported and that you have a sidekick to help you out with any jitters you may have about things running smoothly. Point 05: THE DEETS: Answer The Top 10 Questions You Will Likely Get Asked About Your Product. Your VA Will Use These While Live In The Chat Box And While Live On Your Sales Page Chat Think of the objections that you might get and just the details that people might want to hear more about or more details about. When you start to promote your program on a webinar questions will start to pop up in your chat box and you want your VA to be able to have a list of those commonly asked questions the VA will likely see in the chat and they can literally copy and paste the responses from this top-10 list. It is also a valuable list if you put a chat box on your sales page. With a live chat on the sales page, your support team can use the top-ten document to answer questions on the sales page as well. Point 06: KICK THINGS OFF: Prepare 3-5 Q&A Kick-Off Questions In Advance And Get Them To Your VA In a few videos from now I have an entire training all about how to make your live Q&A strategic so that you actually generate revenue from the questions you answer in a live Q&A on a webinar. We will get there in a moment. The first thing you are going to do on your live Q&A is have your VA ask you questions related to your product. It is like the questions are coming from people on the webinar but you have secretly prepared as few in advance. We ll talk all about that, it s not sneaky, it s really a smart thing to do to support those people that are on the fence and need a little more information. In the live Q&A you are going to kick it off with a few questions about your product. You will take those questions off that list of ten you just created in Point 05 and you will Page 5

prepare them for your VA to ask you right at the top of your live Q&A. We will get into why that is and why it is so important in the coming videos. Point 07: SHOUT OUTS: Find A Way To Quickly Identify Your New Buyer Names While Live On The Webinar. Your VA Will Use Skype To List Your New Buyer s Name So You Can Then Give Them Shout Outs It is such a great way to welcome new people into your program by using shout outs. As new people join your program your VA will have access to those new buyers inside whatever program you use to collect money. The names will pop up in there, your VA will check it, they will Skype you the names, and you can give them a shout out on your webinar. We will talk more about that in the next video when we talk about the role for the VA but in this 10-point preparedness check list I want you just to find a way that your VA can get those names quickly for you. That s what you are doing in terms of this checklist, finding a way to get the new buyer names quickly. Point 08: GET CONNECTED: Make Sure Your Computer Can Be Hardwired In And Connected To A Power Source. No Wi-Fi If You Can Help It! This is little but is often overlooked, by me especially, I have done it a million times, make sure your computer is hardwired and you are not on Wi-Fi at all. You also want to be connected to a power source. I don t know how many times I have been on a webinar where my VA has Skyped me and told me I have 1% left on my computer (because you can see my screen). We need to make sure we are hardwired in and are connected to a power source. As long as you have this checklist in front of you, you won t forget. Page 6

Point 09: JUST IN CASE: Print a Hard Copy Of Your Slides And Have Them Near You In Case You Have Tech Challenges Hard copies of your slides could come in hand if, for some reason, the slides are messed up and you need to go through your slide deck quickly with a hard copy to make sure everything is running smoothly. This could be really valuable. Print out the slides in advance. *** Where You Might Get Stuck *** It is tough to be done with your slides, to say, Okay, my slide presentation is ready to go. I want to encourage you to commit to finishing those slides completely at least 24 hours before you go live. So, 24 hours before you go live I want you to say you are done with your slide deck, no more changes, no more tweaks, no more looking over them a million times. Say, I m done. Print them out and then I want you to take a breather. If you start changing them again and are tweaking them until the last minute it is going to get you rattled. Remember, part of my goal is to get your head in the right place. If you are tweaking slides within minutes or hours of an actual live webinar it is going to get you all jumbled. So I want you to be done with those slides 24 hours in advance and then print them out. Point 10: QUIET ZONE: Eliminate Background Noise (Close Windows, Turn Off A/C, Fan or Heater, Put A Sign On Your Door, Put Your Dog Outside, Silence Your Phone, Etc. Specifically relating to going live, I want you to create a quiet zone. Background noise won t just be disruptive on your live webinar, it will take you out of the zone when your dog is barking or you think the fan might be too loud or someone is knocking on your door or your phone is going off or whatever it might be. It s going to take you out of the game as a presenter and that can rattle everything on a live webinar. Make sure you have eliminated all of the noise in the background and the distractions as well so that you are ready to go. That is so very important. Page 7

Cheat Sheet The 10-Point Preparedness Checklist Remember, I put this all in a 10-point preparedness checklist. I want you to print it out, have it near you days before you go live to make sure you have those specific documents ready like the FAQ and the kick-start questions. I also want it near you right before you go live just so you know where to access all of those important details and information before you go live so you will have it in a checklist. All you have to do is download the checklist. It is directly below this video. The Profitable Webinars Rule Live webinars are more work for sure. They are more work than automated webinars because you have the live element. But remember why we are doing them. We will perfect our process. From there we will create a highly-profitable automated funnel. With just a few tweaks we will get it to be automated. But let s first really lock it in and make sure it is fantastic before we turn it into an automated funnel. Trust me on this one, this is where you are going to make it extremely profitable. Do The Work Make It Real Your Action: Print out the 10-point cheat sheet at least a week in advance and begin working on some of the support material you will need when you go live. I think I said a few days in advance but a week in advance is really good. If you print it out a week in advance you will definitely be prepared the day you go live. I will see you in the next video where we will talk about your VA support and get into detail about some of these pointers I just brought up. I ll see you in the next video. Page 8
