1. Overview The Dwntwn Cuncil, with input frm the Dwntwn Experience Cmmittee, is prud t annunce a design cmpetitin fr a creative lighting experience fr the 2016 Hlidazzle. The Creative Lighting Experience aims t becme a signature additin t the 2016 Hlidazzle event in Lring Park thrugh the creatin f a ne-f-akind spectacle that will create a sense f wnder unique t the City f Minneaplis. What is the Hlidazzle? Hlidazzle creates a cmmunity gathering place and hliday destinatin fr peple f all ages t cme tgether and celebrate winter in Dwntwn Minneaplis. This year s Hlidazzle features stries highlighting lcal peple, prducts and places that shwcase the fd scene, art district, park system, active lifestyle, lcal entertainers and cmmunity grups that make ur city and ur regin unique and special. W hat is a Request fr Creativity? A Request fr Creativity is similar t a Request fr Qualificatins nly better. The Dwntwn Cuncil and the Dwntwn Experience Cmmittee believes creativity cmes in all shapes and sizes and hpes t be surprised. The applicatin prcess is simple 10 pages maximum. We are lking fr creative lighting cncepts that will prvide a unique draw t the 2016 Hlidazzle festivities. We want infrmatin that is easily put tgether bis, previus prjects, a descriptin f what yu are prpsing with supprting illustratins and graphics that demnstrates yur creativity and ideas fr the prject. Our hpe is that this prcess will entice creative teams with specific experience in the creatin f unique lighting installatins t apply. Creative teams culd include students, designers, lighting specialists, artists, architects, urban designers r agencies with these capabilities. If yu are creative and have the technical skills and experience create a lighting spectacle please apply. Fr the Request fr Creativity submissins, 3-4 finalists will be selected and invited t interview and discuss their cncept with the review cmmittee. Frm these design submissins and interviews, ne winner will be awarded a cntract t build their design. What is the Dwntwn Experience Cmmittee? The Dwntwn Experience Cmmittee is a cmmittee frmed by the Minneaplis Dwntwn Cuncil t implement The 2025 Plan, a strategic plan designed t help dwntwn businesses, cmmunity leaders and citizens build n dwntwn assets and imprve future gals. Apprximately 350 cmpanies make up the cuncil.

4. Creative Lighting Design Guidelines The design guidelines belw are intended t give an idea f elements that we are lking t be incrprated int Creative Lighting Experience.
