The glass will arrive to the job site in one or more glass pallets. It is important to follow proper glass handling procedures for storage of the glass. Also, handling of the glass panels is potentially hazardous and care should be taken to insure safety of installation crew. ASSEMBLE WITH CARE! Pangard II Polyester Powdercoat is a strong, long lasting finish. To protect this finish during assembly, place unwrapped powdercoated parts on packaging foam or other non marring surface. Do not place or slide powdercoated parts on concrete or other hard or textured surface this will damage the finish causing rust to occur. Use touch up paint on any gouges in the finish caused by assembly tools. WARNING! SHELTER MUST BE SECURELY ANCHORED SO WIND DAMAGE CANNOT OCCUR. WIND DAMAGE COULD RESULT IN GLASS BREAKAGE AND POTENTIAL HARM TO PEOPLE. Landscape Forms is not responsible for site preparation and footings. We are including recommendations that you may consider. See Figure 1.2.B for 8ft shelter layout or Figure 1.2.C for 12ft shelter layout. NOTE: Mounting plate is not symmetric. See Figure 1.2.A for proper orientation. 3. Mark hole locations for mounting plates and optional front or rear glass locations as necessary. 4. Move plates anddrill drill holes. Useanchoringadhesive adhesive manufacturer srecommended recommended hole size. 5. Clear holes of debris. Fill with epoxy anchoring adhesive and set anchor rods. 6. After adhesive has properly cured, install leveling hex nuts on anchor rods. 7. Place mounting plate on hex nuts and adjust hex nuts until plate is level. NOTE: As sidewalks typically slope toward the street, at least one and perhaps both front leveling rods may be farther from the ground than back rods. The shelter can be set up to 1 1/2 off the ground and remain structural. If site conditions require anchoring rods to protrude more than 2 above ground, an additional concrete pier is required. For middle rafters, feed wiring along rafter channel, then into the 1/2 diameter hole in the beam, eliminating wire slack as the rafter is lowered onto the bracket. 5. Insert threaded drod from Hardware Pack H5 to secure. 6. Install remaining mounting nut on opposite end of threaded rod. 7. Repeat for remaining rafters. STEP 5. Tighten hardware. After frame assembly is complete, tighten all fasteners and anchor nuts securely. Torque for 5/8 11 nuts is 90 ft. lbs. or 1100 in. lbs. STEP 6. Trim anchor studs. After hardware has been tightened, cut threaded anchor rods, leaving 1 2 full threads above the jam nut. Page 6 of 15
