Installation Instructions Follow these simple instructions to install your OneDayCab!

IMPORTANT: Unpack and check shipment for damage. Verify color, size and parts before demolition. Installation of interiors should be performed by a licensed elevator professional. Typical installation takes less than 8 hours, including demolition of existing materials and installation of new interior kit. Instructions are for all OneDayCab models. 1

Right Back 1. Prepare elevator. Protect elevator floor. Remove old elevator interior wall panels. If installing a new ceiling or new lighting, remove old ceiling or old lighting as well. Remove loose debris, paint, grease, and clean all corners. If necessary, paint top 4 (102mm) of all non-access walls with matte black paint (not included). 2. Determine if new lighting is supplied. If retaining existing lighting, proceed to step 4. If installing a new tube light kit, ensure power supply is off prior to starting. 3

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance Right 3. Assemble & Install tube light kit. Assemble light kit. Mount light sockets and metal end caps on the fixtures. If necessary, drill a hole through the elevator roof for the light wiring. Position light fixtures on elevator roof so they will evenly light the elevator. Avoiding obstructions, fasten fixtures to the elevator roof w/ hardware supplied. Connect wiring between multiple fixtures. Ensure power supply is off. Connect the hot, neutral, and ground circuit wires. Install fixture covers and install supplied light bulbs. Turn on power. 4. Install corner reveals (not applicable with two wall cabs). Dry fit. Reveals are designed to sit about 1 (25mm) below elevator roof to avoid trimming in field. Peel backing from tape. Put an end of the reveal on the floor and seat the reveal firmly against the wall. Remove protective film. 4

Right Right 5. Install lower side wall flat reveals. Dry fit. Peel backing from tape. Put the end of the reveal on the floor with the taped edge closest to the front wall. Seat the reveal firmly against the wall. Remove protective film. 6. Install the upper side wall flat reveals. Dry fit. Peel backing from tape. Put the reveal against the lower reveal and the front wall transom, with the taped edge closest to the transom. Remove protective film. 5

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance Right Right 7. Install toe kick flats (Layer 1) and add ventilation. Dry fit toe kick flat. Apply construction adhesive to toe kick flat between strips of foam tape. Peel backing from tape. Center toe kick flat between corners, overlapping the reveals, and place tight against floor. Press toe kick flat into place. Cut/drill any necessary ventilation (per code) above toe kick flat. If you have questions about code requirements, please call. 8. Install toe kick binders. Place the temporary toe kick spacers (supplied) on clean/ flat floor. Rest toe kick binders on the spacers to set the height of the binders. To prevent damage to the binder, use the supplied drill guide. Drill through the end and center binder slots to create pilot holes in the cab shell. Using the supplied blunt tip screws, fasten the binders temporarily in place. 6

9. Check alignment. Lay a framing square over the toe kick binders in the corners and look for gaps. Check to see if the toe kick binders are square with the corner and at the same height. Tip: Temporarily installing the layer 2 panels (without construction adhesive), fastened with one screw each, will help with checking alignment/height (see step 12 & 13). 10. Make any necessary adjustments. If the toe kick binders are out of alignment or out of square, move the end of a toe kick binder up or down to compensate. Once adjusted, secure toe kick binders and double check alignment. 7

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance Right Right 11. Screw toe kick binders to wall. When the toe kick binders are properly positioned, drill pilot holes through the remaining holes and through the elevator wall, using the drill guide (supplied). Shim any gaps and screw the toe kick binders to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). Remove toe kick spacers and remove debris from toe kick binder. 12. Install first panel (Layer 2) in conjunction with panel binder (if supplied). Fit the tongue of the panel into the toe kick binder and temporarily hold in place. If panel binders are not provided move to step 13. Otherwise, slip the notch end of the panel binder over the toe kick binder until the bottom surfaces are flush. Fit the tab of the panel binder into the groove in back of the panel as you fit the panel in place. 8

Right Right Back 13. Install first panel (Layer 2). Tilt layer 2 panel forward. Apply a dab (quarter size) of construction adhesive where indicated on the lower back of panel. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through elevator wall using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panel to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). 14. Install remaining layer 2 panels. Fit the tongue of the panels into the toe kick binders. Check alignment with square and adjust as needed by raising or lowering the ends. Apply a dab (quarter size) of construction adhesive where indicated on lower back of panels. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through elevator wall using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panels to the wall using the blunt tip screws (supplied). 9

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance Right Back 15. Install remaining panels (layers). Remove debris from joints and check alignment as you install remaining panels, one layer at a time. Apply a dab of construction adhesive where indicated on the lower back of panels. Shim any gaps, drill pilot holes through elevator wall using the drill guide (supplied), and fasten the panels using the blunt tip screw (supplied). 16. Assemble ceiling frame. Outside the elevator, on a protected floor, layout the ceiling perimeter frame pieces face down. Ensure ends are even and face of rail and cross members are flush. Using the Ceiling Frame Assembly Hardware assemble ceiling frame pieces together. Install and tighten the bottom screw first through the rail and into cross member followed by the top screw. Attach protective cover on corner of frame. Repeat step for all corners. 10

17. Attach frame mounting brackets to ceiling frame. Most capacities 5,000 lbs. (2268kg) or less will only require four (4) mounting brackets. Position the bracket to point away from the frame. Align horizontal slot in mounting bracket with hole in ceiling frame. Using the Ceiling Bracket to Frame Hardware, bolt the bracket to the perimeter of the ceiling frame by inserting the bolt from inside the frame. The washer and nut will be on the outside of the frame. To allow for ceiling adjustment, only hand tighten nut at this time. Repeat for remaining brackets. 18. Drill holes to attach wall mounting bracket to elevator walls. Using the bracket mounting template, place the template on top edge of the wall panel. Align side edge of template with side edge of wall panel. On the back of the bracket with four holes, peel backing from tape. Place bracket in cutout section of mounting template. Press bracket against wall so adhesive tape temporarily holds bracket in place. Drill pilot holes through cab shell using the drill bit supplied. Remove mounting template. If a bracket cannot be mounted on the wall based on the predetermined location, see step 19. 11

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance 19. Attach wall mounting brackets to elevator walls. Securely attach ceiling mounting bracket to elevator wall using four screws per bracket. Repeat steps 18-19 for three remaining brackets. If a bracket is located so it cannot be attached to elevator wall, contact us for installation assistance. 20. Attach ceiling frame brackets to wall mounting brackets. Attach cardboard protective cover on each corner of frame. Carry ceiling into elevator. Lift right wall side of ceiling so the slot on the two frame brackets attach to each bolt on the two right wall brackets. Ensure both frame brackets are connected to the bolt on the side wall brackets. Repeat on left wall side of ceiling so remaining two frame brackets are connected to the bolt of the left side wall brackets. Using the Ceiling Attachment Hardware insert the washer and nut onto each wall mounting bracket bolt. To allow for ceiling adjustment, only hand tighten nut at this time. 12

21. Position ceiling and securely fasten. Position ceiling frame with a even gap between frame and walls. With a measuring tape, ensure equal ceiling gap on all sides. After positioned, tighten both nuts (nut on frame attaching bracket and nut attaching frame to side wall bracket). Ensure all eight ceiling mounting nuts are tightened. 22. Install top cap. The top cap is held to the elevator wall by Dual Lock strips backed by adhesive. Clean elevator wall where adhesive will attach. Remove backing from adhesive, put top cap in place, and press against wall until plastic strips hold it in place. Remove cardboard protective cover from each corner. 13

Questions? Call 800-638 638-3351 3351 and ask for installation assistance 23. Install ceiling diffusers & cross members. Remove protective coating from diffusers. Starting at one side of the ceiling, install the first ceiling diffuser followed by the cross member. Continue installing ceiling diffusers and cross members consecutively, working toward the other side of the ceiling. Repeat until all ceiling diffusers and cross members are installed. Remove protective coating from ceiling frame. 24. Clean elevator. Remove any remaining stickers, painter s tape, and/or protective film. Wipe down the panels with a soft, clean, damp, nonabrasive cotton cloth or paper towels and a cleaner (such as Zep or Formula 409 ). Complete the survey form on back page to receive a $50 gift card.
