TIMBER As with all natural materials, timer can e affected during various weather conditions. For the duration of heavy or extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during excessive dry spells due to an interior moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot e avoided ut can e helped. It is suggested that the outdoor uilding is sprayed with water during extended periods of warm sunshine and sheltered as much as possile during rain or snow. Our uildings are pre treated with a water ased treatment**; this only helps to protect the product during transit and for upto 3 months against mould. To validate your guarantee and ensure longevity of the product, it is ESSENTIAL the uilding is treated with a wood preserver within the first three months of assemly and thereafter in accordance with the manufactures recommendations. Care must e taken to ensure the product is placed on a suitale ase. x mm Drill it All uilding s should e erected y two adults For ease of assemly, it is advisale to pilot drill all s and ensure all heads are countersunk. Winter = High Moisture = Expansion Summer = Low Moisture = Contraction CAUTION Every effort has een made during the manufacturing process to eliminate the prospect of splinters on rough surfaces of the timer. You are strongly advised to wear gloves when working with or handling rough sawn timer. BUILDING A BASE When thinking aout where the uilding and ase is going to e constructed: Ensure that there will e access to all sides for maintenance work and annual treatment. Ensure the ase is level and is uilt on firm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to diagrams for the ase dimensions, The ase should e slightly smaller than the external measurement of the uilding, i.e. The cladding should overlap the ase, creating a run off for water. It is also recommended that the floor e at least 5mm aove the surrounding ground level to avoid flooding. Step Place floor on firm and level ase, ensure ase has suitale drainage free from areas where water can collect. (See front page on ase requirements). Attach the floors using x s 7 Step 3 Fix the corners with s as shown in diagram. 3x Screws Please retain product lael and instructions for future reference 4 7 x Screws Step Fix the corners with s as shown in diagram. Do not secure the uilding to the floor until the roof is fitted. 5 3 Step 4 Position a ridge ar etween the front and ack of the uilding centralised etween the two gales. Fix in place using a s ing through the outside of the uilding into the ridge ar. ENSURE SUPPORT BARS ARE MANUALLY SUP- PORTED UNTIL FIXED AT BOTH ENDS Position the panels so there is equal spacing etween the floor and cladding on all 4 sides 7x Screws 6 Fix another two ridge ars centralised etween the ridge ar you have just fitted and the closest gale. 6x Screws P 3
Please retain product lael and instructions for future reference Step 5 Step 7 Fix the eaves frame to the roof sheet using 4x s for each sheet. 8x Screws Place the two roof sheets onto the ulilding, centralise them over the roof frames and ake sure they finish flush with the front of the uilding. Fix in place with 40mm s. 40mm Cut the felt into x 34mm long sheets and lay onto roof as shown in diagram ensuring there is overhang around the sides. x40mm Screws 8 0x felt tacks Step 6 Once the roof is fixed attach the uilding to the floor with 50 mm s. 0x Screws 4 3 HANDLE WITH CARE P 4
Please retain product lael and instructions for future reference Step 8 6 Step Fit the Cover Trims to the left and right of the uilding and over the panel joins as shown in the illustration using s. Trim the length of the cover trims to the required size efore fitting if necessary. to avoid splitting. 6 6 5 5 Use 4x s to fix each eading strip onto the door panel. Ensure that the is parallel with the door frame when fixing the strip to the door panel as shown in the close up view. 8x Screws 5 Line up the door lock as shown in the illustration. Then fix with x s y ing through the outside of the door into the lock. x Screws 4 7 Step 9 Attach the fascias to the roof leaving a slight overhang at the top.
