Christmas Wreath With Decorations Skill Level Intermediate A beginner who has access to google and u- tube, should be able to complete this project with some research into any stitches or steps which are unfamiliar Copyright Please do not sell the pattern or infer it as your own. Materials Used Size 4 ply cotton x 10 gram green 4 ply cotton yarn small quantity red, white, tan, grey, yellow Size 3.00 mm crochet hook Tapestry needle 9 mm safety eyes x 2 for each Koala 12 mm safety eyes x 2 for each Santa Fiberfill Stitch marker Wire - 80 cm Buttons, bells, ribbon, rope or decorations as desired 85 cm in diameter Gauge www.gumnutcrochet.com Christmas Wreath Page 1 Gauge is not critical to this project. Different yarn type and different ply will change size. Wreath Prepare wire into shape of choice. I used 80 cm of wire and created a diamond shape. R1. In green yarn, ch 24, sc in each ch R2-onwards Sc in each sc, until piece long enough to go around wire 24 sc Fasten off, fill lightly, join both pieces together to close shape around wire. Weave in ends. Decorations number and colour of choice Ice cream R1. In tan yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook, or magic circle 6 6 sc R2. Sc in each sc - 6 sc R3. (Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 8 sc R4. Sc in each sc - 8 sc R5. (Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 10 sc R6. (Sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 12 sc R7. Christmas Stocking in colours of choice R1. Ch 4, sc second chain from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch, turn working in foundation ch, sc in each of next 2 sc, 3 sc in last 10 sc R2. Sc in each sc 10 sc R3. Sc in next 2 sc, (sc 2 tog) x 2, sc in each of next 4 sc - 8 sc R4. Sc in next sc, (sc 2 tog) x 2, sc in each of next 3 sc 6 sc R5-8. Sc in each sc - 6 sc In last sc, sl st tog to close round for colour change. Fasten off yarn. In white, ch 1, sc in same ch R9. In white, sc in each sc 6 sc Fasten off, leaving long tail. Sew to wreath, no need to fill, weave in ends. Sew on some balls or bells as desired Koala R1. 2 ch, 6sc in second chain from hook, or magic circle 6 6sc R2. 2 sc in each sc 12 sc R3. (Sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc) repeat 18 sc R4. (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat 24 sc R5. (Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat 30 sc R6 R7. Sc in each sc 30 sc Insert or embroider eyes in Row 7-6 sc apart Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew head to wreath, fill lightly, without stretching stitches. Nose in black yarn R1. Ch 5, sc second chain from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 3 sc in next ch, turn working in foundation ch, sc in each of next 2 sc, 3 sc in last 12 sc R2-3. Sc in each sc 12 sc Fasten off, leaving long tail, fill lightly, sew to head between eyes. Ears in grey yarn make 2 and in white yarn make 2 for each Koala R1. Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook, or magic circle 6 6 sc R2. (2 sc in each sc) x 5, skip last sc 10 sc R3. Turn, ch 1, skip this chain space (2 sc in next, sc in next) 14 sc Fasten off, weave in ends R4. Place 1 x grey piece on top of 1 x white piece. With white side facing toward you, and using grey yarn, sc through both pieces in each sc 14 sc Fasten off, leaving long tail. Whip stitch edges together. Sew to head on wreath with a slight curve in the ear Hat make 1 for each Koala and 1 for each Santa R1. In red yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook, or magic circle 6 6 sc R2. Sc in each sc - 6 sc R3. (Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 8 sc R4. Sc in each sc 8 sc R5. (Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 10 sc R6.
