When & How to Use Coloured Filters With Snapper PhotoManager managing your workflow routines is now simpler than ever. Right from the start you can import your photos from your latest shoot and assign workflow routines immediately by using Snapper PhotoManager s Coloured Filters. The description for each Coloured Filter can be changed to whatever you want them to be & once you get the hang of it, you will never lose track of your workflow ever again. As a default, Snapper PhotoManager is installed with the following 6 Coloured Filters described as follows; Khaki - Last Import Orange - Selections & Rejections Red - Editing Yellow - Tag, Rate &Keywords Green - For the Album Cyan - For Printing Adding Coloured Filters to sets of photos makes them easy to get to and with a description attached serves as a reminder of what still needs to be done Some Alternative descriptions/uses for the Coloured Filters are; Example 1 Khaki - Review & Flag Orange - Star Rate Red - Tag & Keyword Yellow - For Editing Green - Synchronise Folder Cyan - Assign to Album

Example 2 Khaki - Personal Photos - (private photos) Orange - Clients Photo - (commissioned Photos) Red - Photos for Sale - (sell as photo art) Yellow - Photos for Website - (for personal web use) Green - Archived Photos - (0n removable drives) Cyan - Master Photos - (not for re- editing) Example 3 Khaki - My Photos Orange - My Spouse s Photos Red - My Sons Photos Yellow - My Daughters Photos Green - Photos from Others Cyan - Photos for Facebook As can be seen from the above examples, you can really use the Coloured Filters for any use that makes sense to you.

Modifying the Descriptions of Your Filters You can modify the description to your Coloured Filters to suit your personal requirements as follows. Click on the Filters Tab within the Tags window to display all 6 Coloured Filters Click on a Coloured Filter to select the one you want to modify Right Click on the Filter Description and select Modify Filter Modify the Filter description Click Save modifying the description assigned to a Filter will not lose any Photos be sure to Click on the Description of the Coloured Filter as clicking on the Tick box will assign any selected Photo/s to the Filter

Assigning Coloured Filters with Your Imports Assigning Coloured Filters to your Photos at the same time as you import your Photos is a sure way to ensure that you start right away. see help guide Getting Started with Snapper PhotoManager for detailed information on Importing your Photos Click on Click on or Import Photos to Select the photos from your SD or CF memory Card to select the photos on a local hard drive or removable drive Click on Import To & choose where to Import your Photos to, create a New Folder if you need to and click Ok Click on Choose the required Coloured Filter from the dropdown list Click Ok see help guide Using Keywords for detailed information on Adding Keywords to your Photos

On completion of the Import, your photos will be easily identifiable with the assigned Colour Filter reflecting on each thumbnail as can be seen in the following screen shot.

Viewing Photos Assigned to Coloured Filters At any time, you can view the photos assigned to any of your coloured Filters as follows; Click on the Filters Tab within the Tags window to see all the 6 Coloured Filters Simply click on a Coloured Filter & all the photos will be displayed instantly be sure to Click on the Description of the Coloured Filter as clicking on the Tick box will assign any selected Photo/s to the Filter

Assigning Coloured Filters to Your Photos You can Assign or change Coloured Filters to your Photos at any time. Assign individual or multiple Photos to speed up your processing. only one Colour Filter can be assigned to a Photo at a time 5.1) Assigning a Coloured Filter to Selected Photos Select individual Photos from anywhere in PhotoManager by clicking on a Photo, for multiple Photo s hold down the Ctrl key & click on the required Photos, Selected Photos are displayed with a blue highlight border & can be selected in any order Click on the Tick Box of the required Filter to select all the photos being displayed, click on Menu Bar or by right clicking over any photo Select All from the

5.2) Drag & Drop Photos onto Coloured Filters Click on either the Filters Tab in the Tags window to display the list of Coloured Filters Select individual Photos from anywhere in PhotoManager by clicking on a Photo, for multiple Photo s hold down the Ctrl key & click on the required Photos, selected Photos are displayed with a blue highlight border. photos can be selected in any order Click & hold the left mouse key down on any of the selected Photos and drag the photo/s over to the Filter & release the mouse key a green arrow pointer will be displayed next to the selected Filter Your photos are now Assigned to the Filter

Removing Coloured Filters from Your Photos If you wish to remove a Filter from a photo you can do this quickly and safely without removing the photo from your library. Click on the Filter Name to see all your photos assigned to the Filter Select the Photo you wish to remove from the Filter by clicking on the Photo Click on the Tick box of the Filter and the Tick will be removed Your Photo is now safely unassigned from the Filter but Not from your Library
