#8 Design Nets 1. Talk to each other to decide what nets you each want to make. 2. Shapes can be stacked to create one building.

#8 Design Nets In purple packet Must do 3 nets: (1 from each group) 1. Prism 2. Pyramid 3. Cone 4. Cylinder

Add flaps to nets

Compacted: Choose 3 different nets

3 Nets: STOP- Period 6 Draw the 3 nets- Each needs to be on its own piece of graph paper Label the dimensions of each of your 3 figures. They need to be drawn to scale. Final graph paper net will be glued or taped to purple packet SCALE : 1/4 inch = 1 inch You will use these nets to complete the formulas for surface area and volume and get it checked off by Staudohar BEFORE building any nets. You only get 1 try for final net on construction paper

3 Nets: Remember: A net is 1 piece of paper You may need to tape multiple pieces of paper together to make the big nets. Don t forget the flaps!

Nets & Area/Volume Formulas

Create net & Find Surface Area & Volume of each shape

#9 Complete Math Packet: Edges, Faces & Vertices

#10 Create at least 2 Buildings Using the net designs, you will create at least 2 buildings Designed from an original net. Must be neat Tape on the INSIDE Designs on the outside should be visually appealing. All buildings should be labeled with the name of the business and can have creative extras on them as well.
