#4 Make sure land segments align with neighbors That means, you have to talk to your land neighbors to make sure the land and roads align. Look at Polyhedraville plot map for your period for your neighbors.
Make sure your buildings don t block the roads. Use black poster board for roads. Pencil in roads. Cut out EQUAL sized YELLOW road stripes & make sure they ALL align.
#6: Plan land & businesses There will be a business sign up for the city so that there won t be duplicates of businesses. Cities should have various types of businesses, not just restaurants. Be creative!!!
#7: Elect Mayor Mayor will make sure land looks good & businesses don t repeat. Elections are on Tuesday. +2 points extra credit

3 Nets: STOP- Period 6 Draw the 3 nets- Each needs to be on its own piece of graph paper Label the dimensions of each of your 3 figures. They need to be drawn to scale. Final graph paper net will be glued or taped to purple packet SCALE : 1/4 inch = 1 inch You will use these nets to complete the formulas for surface area and volume and get it checked off by Staudohar BEFORE building any nets. You only get 1 try for final net on construction paper

#10 Create at least 2 Buildings Using the net designs, you will create at least 2 buildings Designed from an original net. Must be neat Tape on the INSIDE Designs on the outside should be visually appealing. All buildings should be labeled with the name of the business and can have creative extras on them as well. STOP- Period 7

Team Grade
Day #1 1. Select Land Plot- do NOT peel off barcode 2. Write first names on Polyhedraville map with whiteboard marker 3. Get Poster Board 4. Write Names on back of posterboard 5. Get colored sticker from back table AND write land plot number Stickers should be placed in the upper left hand corner of the poster board 6. Get to know your neighbors!!!! 7. GET A RULER and Start drawing in roads with a pencil!
Day #2 1. GET A RULER and finish drawing roads- make sure they align with your neighbors roads. 2. Start making a plan about what nets you are going to make, and how big. 3. Draw your buildings on your land plot with a whiteboard marker. 4. Start designing your nets on graph paper and label dimensions. 5. Cut out and fold up graph paper nets to see if it will actually work. Then do the math on pages 4-7. 6. REMEMBER 1 square = 1 / 4 inch = 1 inch
