Window Guards Accessories Locking Channel Safety Release Pin 8760 Series 1160 Use with Locking Channel Use with Window Security Guards (BK-1130 series/bulk) Use one per guard Available for 3-bar, 4-bar, 5-bar, 6-bar, 8-bar and 9-bar of the 1130 Series (bulk) PB-8670-3ASTM should be used with BK-1160-LP Fire Safety Release Pin. The padlock hole is removed to prevent use with padlock per child safety window guard standards by ASTM. Mounting Hardware 8760 Series Carded mounting screws (CD-0105), bulk screws (8768-14), and mounting brackets (1130-CPMB) are available CD-0105 Wide Window Installation (for 1130-CPMB) 1130-CPMB Suggested installations for wide windows, using 1-1/4 square tubing, available from Macklanburg-Duncan and others. Recess Mounting, as shown in Fig. 1, uses 2 each #1130-CPMB Mounting Brackets. Surface Mounting, as shown in Fig. 2, uses screws driven through tubing into window framing wall studs, without using the #1130-CPMB Mounting Brackets. Vertical or horizontal, bars may be mounted in either direction. Often the most vulnerable windows, mount inside for security and ease of Installation (see tips below).
