learn about the Catholic faith and color at the same time. The pages are beautifully illustrated with a less in Stations Of The Cross on one page and a stained glass illustration to accompany it on the next page. This book is printed on one side only and I recommend using a blank page between sheets to prevent the color of markers from transferring. You would not need to do this if you choose to use colored pencils! This book takes you through Station of The Cross 24. It is well planned out and could be very useful for a Bible study or someone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. A great gift idea for a First Communion! I received this book as part of a preferred reviewer program for testing and a possible unbiased opinion I am obsessed with the idea of adult coloring books, because why should we ever grow out of the artistic hobby of coloring? I have found so many coloring books that are very similar: mandulas, flowers, etc and stumbled upon the Catholic Coloring book. I am very religious and enjoyed this theme the most because it can connect me spiritually to my religion as I am coloring away and enjoying a hobby of mine, art! When I received this book, I flipped through the pages and each one had the station of the cross listed, what happened during that time, a quote for reflection, and lines so that you can self reflect. There was also a picture of the station that you can color (see my picture posted for an example of a page). The authors message on the first page really stood out to me because they wanted to create this book for those who want to learn more about the stations of the cross as well as those who can never make it to the mass explaining the stations. I am a full time student/ worker (which shouldn't be an excuse) but I never made it to see the stations of the cross so this coloring book helps me reflect and learn and grow as a Catholic. I bought this to use as a gift.this coloring book is absolutely amazing. I grabbed this as a last minute gift for the child of a work friend of mine. I already had a nice set of colored pencils in a canvas carrying case and wanted an intricate coloring book to put along with it. I don't think that I could have possibly picked a better one. The scriptures used in this coloring book are beautiful and the illustrations are immaculate. The left hand page contains a cross along with the selected scripture; while the right hand page contains the coloring page. I love that it is set up in such a way that the finished piece of work will look like a beautiful piece of stained glass art. The pages are single sided and there is a small section on the left page that allows for the artist to leave a small note. This is a wonderful coloring book and I am thinking of
buying a few more for Easter gifts next year.this coloring book arrived promptly and the packaging was completely intact. While I"m not Catholic or even overly religious I do like to color these and the calmness I get from them hels ease my anxiety.this book is well made with good quality paper. (not always the case). The pages come with scripture to read (and learn) with. Each page you color looks as if it is a stained glass window from a beautiful cathedral. The pages are all once sided which is always good in case you are using gel pens or markets so the ink doesn't bleed through to the other pages. The lines and ink used do not smear as well when you are coloring the pages. (not always the case)this book would be ideal for a beginner or even a child to color with basic crayons. Unlike some of the other "coloring books for adults' it doesn't have the tiny spaces where you have to get the ultra thin tip pens and pencils. Crayons or markers or colored pencils would work just fine and still be beautiful.i received this free or discounted for testing and reviewing the product.
