Submitting a Census Roster: Dropping Students and Recording Early Alerts Purpose Trigger Use this procedure to update and submit the Census Roster for a class. Instructors can drop a student and/or record an early alert for a student. Census rosters must be submitted within seven calendar days of the census date. Perform this procedure when you need to submit a Census Roster online. Perform one of the following: If Go To You need to drop a student from the roster Step 7 You need to record an early alert for a student Step 11 You are finished with changes and are ready to submit the census roster Step 15 7. In the Drop Date column, click the link for the student you want to drop from the class. Note the ID of the student and compare to the EmplID displayed in the following dialogue box. This will decrease the possibility of dropping a student from the roster in error. Page 5 / 13

Note the ID of the student and compare to the EmplID displayed in the following dialogue box. This will decrease the possibility of error. Page 7 / 13

Faculty Center Class Roster (5) The system indicates the Census Roster is "Submitted." 19. You have completed this task. Result Comments You have updated and submitted a Census Roster online. Once a Census Roster has been submitted, the instructor cannot make any changes to the Census Roster using the Faculty Center. Page 13 / 13
