Description of Analysis The image, namely Gold Nanoparticles, was analyzed using the NanoMet dimensional analysis software which automatically analyzed the diameter of nanoparticles located in the transmission electron microscope images. The software identified and assigned the individual nanoparticles, subsequently conducting measurements with a proprietary triangulation method along the detected nanowires edges. The measurements are shown in the annotated images of this report as color coded circles where the center of the circle is located at the center of the linear diameter measurement. The software automatically generated a corresponding data spreadsheet containing all measurement information and other annotated images, created to display the object assignments and measurement locations which correlate with the data in the results spreadsheet. The raw data collected by the software was all generated automatically and was not altered or added to manually. Raw data values are shown in pixel units, but can be converted to physical dimensions either manually, or using NanoMet s self-calibration function (requires a scale bar in the image). The raw data is collected as diameter of the nanoparticles and can be manipulated via any calculations that are preferred. Annotated images can be created that show any preferred selection of data, coloration, identifying shapes or other formatting. This analysis was performed for nanoparticle diameter measurement functionality demonstration only and is a representation of the routine reports generated by NanoMet which can be customized to a preferred style and format. Description of NanoMet The NanoMet software has functionality to automatically identify any number of images in a user-specified work directory on the local server, allows the user to optimize both the binary conversion and analysis conditions in real-time and then conducts automatic dimensional analysis on the batch of images or single image. A detailed report describing the analysis of each image can be exported and the raw data with annotated figures are auto-generated after each analysis run. Additional information containing the measurement location coordinates is recorded and available, but was not exported in the raw data spreadsheets.
