The electronc desgn ensures that the cycle tme for proportonng the power s automatcally optmzed. Il numero d perod che l GT fornsce al carco ( tren d onda ) per un certo valore d segnale d ngresso, è calcolato n modo da essere l mnmo possble, pur mantenendo la precsone necessara. The number of cycles that the GT supples to the load (wave trans) for a gven nput sgnal s calculated to be the mnmum possble to mantan the necessary accuracy. The GT can be used n three phase systems, usng master-slave control archtecture n whch the control sgnal drves only one GT (master) and ths unt supples the synchronzed sgnals to the other slaves. Two GS modules can also be used as slaves (logc control). A load nterrupt control opton (HB) s avalable wthout havng to use an external current transformer; alarm lmt s settable wth trmmer and yellow LED sgnal, wth voltage-free contact, normally open. The GT sold-state relay has a green LED to ndcate the presence of the Vac power supply and a red LED to ndcate the swtchng based on the analog control nput sgnal. The LED sgnal wll be contnuous (off at mnmum, on at maxmum) at the ends of the scale, pulsng for ntermedate values. The unts offer optonal accessores for panel mountng, fuses and fuseholders, current transformer, solaton transformers. Use the relè wth an opportune heatsnk (see secton accessores). CIBRATI PROCEDURE OF THE INTERRUPTED LOAD ARM The nterrupted load alarm functon enables the GT to dagnose a varaton of the load current (compared to a set lmt), dstngushng t from one caused by a change n grd voltage. The sold state power unt must therefore be suppled wth the voltage appled to the load termnals,.e.: LOAD (): already connected nternally; LINE (h or ): connect termnal h for voltages from 0 to 00V; connect termnal for voltages from 00 to 0V. The alarm actvates (relay closed and yellow alarm LED on) when the current, durng the conducton of the devce, falls below a preset level that may be adjusted usng the trmmer on the faceplate. Calbraton procedure (refer to the faceplate descrpton drawng) ) Use the adjustment system (or a calbrator) n order to supply the maxmum sgnal (00% conducton or thered LED always llumnated). As an alternatve, you can confgure the GT to 0-0 V DC nput confguraton and connect termnals and. ) Use a current sensng plers to check that the load current s at rated level. ) Turn alarm lmt adjustment trmmer (g) fully clockwse. Check that yellow alarm LED (b) turns on. ) Slowly turn trmmer (g) counterclockwse untl the alarm LED turns off. ) Turn the trmmer counterclockwse another /0 of a turn ( notch on the scale). In ths way, the alarm lmt s set below 0% of the rated load current. N.B: the partal load break alarm functon operates wth power partalzaton exceedng %. For partalzatons below 0%, trppng tmes ncrease due to the reduced load actvaton tme. For correct operaton of the opton, the load current has to exceed 0% of rated current for the GT. Notes on use of the GT wth the dgtal On/Off control - The logc control sgnal has to be connected wth the correct polartes to termnals and of the analog nput. - Turn mnmum adjustment trmmer (d) fully counterclockwse and maxmum adjustment trmmer (e) fully clockwse. - Set the dp swtches (f) to off. For applcatons wth a very short work cycle, you can drve the sold state group by means of the / sgnal by drvng t wth a dgtal sgnal (OFF = 0 V dc; = from V dc to 0 V dc) Inhbtng the GT You can nhbt operaton of the GT by means of the / sgnal. To nhbt, connect control sgnal - () wth the synchronsm sgnal for / connecton (). Notes on use of the GT n / confguraton The GT can be used as a master to drve other sold state groups (slaves). Wth / sgnal (), you can drve up to 9 GTs (see connecton examples for GT sold state power relays wth three-phase load). You can also use a GT to drve GS sold state power relays (maxmum of ), as shown n the connecton dagrams for GT/GS sold state power relays wth three-phase load (attenton: the HB opton cannot be used for a three-phase applcaton wth neutral).
