Avenue of the Arts 2014/2015 The City of Boynton Beach Arts Commission invites you to display your artwork along the Avenue of the Arts, which stretches for more than seven blocks in the City s downtown core. Your work, if selected, will be publicly displayed on lighted pedestals and included in the promotion, advertising and marketing of the year long event. Each selected artist will receive $1,000.00 per artwork selected to cover delivery and installation of the artwork. You, the artist, will be responsible for the delivery, installation and loan of the artwork. The City provides property insurance for the artwork on display. All artwork is promoted for sale with a 30% contribution to the AIPP program. 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium This year the City of Boynton Beach is including the Avenue of the Arts in the 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium. All types of outdoor kinetic art forms are encouraged to be submitted. The artwork should hold up to the Florida outdoor environment for the year long display. The artists may consider more than one artwork site or create a sitespecific kinetic artwork installation. This is a perfect program for professional artists to gain public art experience. Avenue sites can accommodate artwork up to 15ʼ x 6ʼ x 10ʼ (large pad) and 10ʼ x 4ʼ x 6ʼ (small pad.) All pads are 6 foot square some are flush to sidewalk others elevated in landscaped areas. There are even large signature trees along the Avenue of the Arts in which kinetic artwork can be installed. 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium Celebrating Art in Motion Kinetic artists seek to propel the mind to wonder and to encourage viewers to appreciate the Art in Motion. Kinetic art is created by artists who push the boundaries of traditional, static art forms to introduce visual experiences that are engaging, benefit society and profoundly change our lives. The goal for this 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium is to deliver an Art and Cultural event that transcends typical art fairs, attracts international attention, educates and engages a diverse audience about public art. Many activities will be offered throughout the year leading up to the February 6-8, 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium date. The 2014-15 Avenue of the Arts yearlong outdoor exhibit will be a key component of this Symposium. Artists who submit their kinetic artwork for this year s selection will be: Marketed, promoted and advertised during the event s yearlong programming. Included in the souvenir Symposium show book or poster with artist biography. Included in interviews for the DVD production. Featured in Symposium program brochure, advertisements, PR, and website www.intlkineticartevent.org. Invited to attend and participate in the February 6-8, 2015 Symposium.
