2 This Box Contins: 1- Port side Grnd Slm 1- Strbord side Grnd Slm 4-5/16 x 1 stinless steel button hed cp bolts 8- Stinless steel flt wshers 8- Nylon flt wshers 2- Hndles 1- Instruction Booklet 1- Wrrnty crd INSTALLATION: It is very importnt tht your mounting surfce for the "Grnd Slm" ie, 'T' Top, Arch or Hrd Top be suitbly constructed to provide strong mounting re for your outrigger bse. It is recommended to use TACO s weld in Grnd Slm Extrusion. (GSE-1939BXY30) or our new Clmp on Plte Weld in Plte clmp on Grnd Slm mounting plte (GSE ). Both of these pltes re pre drilled nd redy to instll the Grnd Slm. If you lredy hve plte it should be t lest 3/8" thick nd 5" wide, with 3-4 welded sems to be used for the full 6" bow to stern. When instlling the Grnd Slm thru cnvs, simply cut n X over the 3" hole. Instll nd bolt down the Grnd Slm then trim off the excess cnvs. When instlling thru hrdtop mke sure the top is fom or core filled. It is recommended to use spcers (smll lengths of tubing) to fit inside where the mounting bolts pss thru

3 HANDY HANK S TIP Bcking pltes re vilble for extr strength nd recommended when mounting thru hrd top. (BP-150BSY-320) When instlling your Grnd Slm locte the center of the 3" hole t lest 7-1/2" from the hrdtop frme, verticl post, or ny other object tht might hinder the movement of the hndle. If the top hs n rch to it, wedge pltes cn be ordered to keep the Grnd Slms upright nd stright. The mximum thickness llowble for mounting is 2-7/8" to ensure tht when you tighten the bolts you do not compress the top. If you re instlling thru solid plte lredy on your bot plese red the following instructions: Tubing Spcers Bcking Plte Before drilling your bolt holes, cut out 3" dimeter center hole. When you re finished drilling your 3" hole set the bse in hole nd lign. Use your outriggers to help lign the bse. The supplied templte is only guide to help lign bse for true hole positioning. Mke sure nothing is rubbing in the 3" hole. There should be smll gp ll the wy round. When the Grnd Slms re ligned, mrk nd drill out the bolt holes. Bolts, wshers nd nuts re provided or if you purchse your own, lwys use good qulity stinless steel hrdwre when mounting the bse. Plese do not ttempt to weld the bse to nything.

4 Put bed of mrine selnt on the underside of flt plte. This prevents wter drips. Plce bed of silicone seler round hole in mounting plte. Securely bolt the bse to the mounting surfce.instll operting lever lst. Insert lever with the nylon bushings on the hndle in from the lrger open-ended slot, from stern fcing position. (The bottom prt of the Grnd Slm cn rotte to locte this hole). Mke sure the hndle is ll the wy in. Screw the hndle dpter to the mount. Plce the outrigger in the rm nd test. Pull down on the lever nd move port to Align hndle mking sure not to lose nylon bushings then tighten nut Rotte the bottom of the Grnd Slm To lign with the hndle hole strbord. Relese the lever, nd it should go into locking positions. There re 20 locking positions. If lever does not return up, push left or right until it flls into position. The djustble design requires the stop lip fce the stern. The pull pin for the outrigger is spring loded. Simply turn the mushroom button until it locks then pull pin out. Plce your outrigger into the rm nd turn the mushroom button. Then turn your outrigger to it clicks in the locked position.

The ly down knobs fce to the outside for esy djustment.

6 HOW TO CLEAN Alwys use mild, non brsive sop nd lots of fresh wter. Thoroughly wsh the luminum with soft towel or sponge utilizing lots of sop nd wter to remove ll dried slt crystls nd other contminnts. Rinse completely with direct wter pressure. The importnt point is to clen nd rinse it well! Use smll mount of mchine oil, where the rm comes out of the bse. This will keep the sels lubricted. SAFE CLEANERS: Mild Dishwshing Liquid Specilty Mrine Cleners: Se Sfe Bot Wsh Botwsh Concentrte Super Suds HARMFUL CLEANERS: Blech (Clorox, etc.) Mild Abrsive Cleners (Ajx, Comet, Soft Scrub, Rubbing Compounds, etc.) Strong Cleners (409, Engine Degresers, etc.) WHAT T IS TROLLING? HOW DO I USE MY OUTRIGGERS? When trolling with outriggers, you cn troll with more lines in the wter, thus pulling more bit which simultes school of fish. Outriggers will eliminte tngled lines. Ech outrigger cn ccommodte one or two lines from your rods nd reels. The line is used with relese clip tht extends to the end of your outrigger. When fish strikes your bit, the relese clip will llow your fishing line to come free of the outrigger so you cn reel in the fish.
