1 INSTALLATION & OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR LEVER HANDLE LOCKSETS E_EN FOR BRINKS HOME SECURITY INTERIOR LOCKING & NON-LOCKING LEVER HANDLE LOCKSETS. FITS DOORS 1-3/8" (35 mm) TO 1-3/4" (45 mm) THICK WORKS FOR BOTH IN-SWINGING AND OUT-SWINGING DOORS. SEE STEP 2. QUESTIONS? CALL FOR HELP. (S2) MOUNTING SCREWS (2) MOUNTING PLATE (S3) LEVER SCREW & WASHER (Alredy Instlled In Lever) INSIDE LEVER MAIN LOCK BODY PRIVACY BUTTON* INSIDE ROSE OUTSIDE ROSE NOTE: THE MAIN LOCK BODY ALWAYS GOES ON THE OUTSIDE FACE OF THE DOOR. LATCH (S1) WOOD SCREWS (4) STRIKE PLATE PRIVACY KEY* INTERIOR LOCKING LOCKSETS ARE PROVIDED WITH A PRIVACY BUTTON AND PRIVACY KEY. PUSH THE PRIVACY BUTTON TO LOCK THE OUTSIDE LEVER. THE PRIVACY KEY CAN BE USED FOR UNLOCKING BY INSERTING IN THE HOLE IN THE OUTSIDE ROSE AND PUSHING THE PRIVACY BUTTON BACK. OPERATING THE INSIDE LEVER WILL UNLOCK THE OUTSIDE LEVER. (IF THE PRIVACY KEY IS LOST, A PAPER CLIP CAN BE USED ALSO.) FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS, SEE INSTRUCTION E_EN. FOR REPLACEMENT INSTALLATIONS, PROCEED TO STEP 1.

2 FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS, SEE INSTRUCTION E_EN. FOR REPLACEMENT INSTALLATIONS, PROCEED TO STEP 1. STEP 1 IMPORTANT! Adjust For Door Thikness OUTSIDE MOUNTING PLATE SCREW POST Mesure your door thikness. It should e 1-3/8" (35mm) or 1-3/4" (45mm). If in etween these numers, round to the nerest of those two thiknesses. Your lokset is pre-set for 1-3/8" door. If your door thikness is out 1-3/8", proeed to Step 2. If your door is loser to 1-3/4" (45mm) thik, the position of the Outside Mounting Plte must e djusted. Use Phillips Hed Srewdriver to loosen the two Srew Posts tht hold the Mounting Plte. SCREW POST d. e. f. Slide the Mounting Plte k. Lote the Adjustment Ring nd slide it k lso. Rotte the Adjustment Ring until the 45mm nothes on the ring re ligned with the Lugs. Slide the Adjustment Ring ginst the Lugs. ADJUSTMENT RING g. Slide the Outside Mounting Plte k ginst the Adjustment Ring nd seure it y srewing the two Srew Posts k into the Threded Posts on the Mounting Plte. Tighten firmly. d e LUG f g THREADED POST

3 STEP 2 Determine Your Type of Door The Push-Pull-Rotte Lever n e instlled on oth In-Swinging Doors (doors tht re pushed into the room to enter from outside) nd Out-Swinging Doors (doors tht re pulled open to enter room from outside). The Min Lok Body lwys goes on the outside fe of the door. For Out-Swinging Doors, the outside fe is the side of the door on whih the hinges re visile. After instlltion, you will PUSH the lever to enter room with n In-Swinging Door, or PULL the lever to enter room with n Out-Swinging Door. STEP 4 Instll Lth Insert the lth into the 1" (25.4mm) hole in the door edge s shown. Be sure the sloping fe of the lth olt is fing towrds the door jm Insert two (S1) Wood Srews in the feplte holes nd tighten. After instlltion, you should e le to see the Lth Prongs nd Lth Til(s) through the 2-1/8" ore in the door s shown. If not, review Step 3. Selet Approprite Lth. VIEW FROM OUTSIDE THE ROOM IN-SWINGING DOOR OUT-SWINGING DOOR DOOR JAMB MAIN LOCK BODY 2-3/8" - or - 2-3/4" STEP 3 Selet Approprite Lth Bkset is the distne from the door edge to the enter of the 2-1/8" (54mm) hole on the door fe. Selet the 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) lth sed on the kset of your door. (Most residentil doors hve 2-3/8" kset.) 2-3/8" (60 mm) BACKSET LATCH 2-3/4" (70 mm) BACKSET LATCH PRONGS S1 (2) SLOPING FACE

4 STEP 5 Instll the Min Lok Body Insert the Min Lok Body through the 2-1/8" (54mm) hole in the door. Look through the hole from the inside of the door to guide the Min Lok Body. Mke sure tht the Cylindril Cse engges with the Lth Prongs nd the Retrtor interloks with the Lth Til. d. Test y rotting the lever - the lth olt should retrt. STEP 6 Instll the Inside Mounting Plte nd Rose Ple the Inside Mounting Plte over the Min Lok Body nd ginst the inside door fe with the mounting holes ligned vertilly. Position the mounting plte so it reds FACE OUT when it is ginst the door. Insert the two (S2) Mounting Srews nd engge the threded holes in the Min Lok Body. Tighten firmly. For Interior Loking models, srew the Privy Button onto the threded shft. Tighten firmly y hnd. d. Instll the Inside Rose y ligning with the nothes on the Mounting Plte nd snpping it on. (For Interior Loking models, ensure tht the hole in the Rose ligns with the Privy Button.) STEP 7 Instll Inside Lever Push the Inside Lever onto the Spindle until it stops. Tighten the (S3) srew loted on the inside of the lever. The srew will engge the hole in the Spindle. Test instlltion y pushing, pulling nd rotting the lever. 5 STEP 8 Instll Strike Plte Seure the Strike Plte with two (S1) Wood Srews. Tighten firmly. It is importnt for Push-Pull-Rotte Loks for the Lth Bolt to move freely in nd out of the Strike Plte. STRIKE PLATE LATCH BOLT (S1) STEP 9 Opertion & Trouleshooting PUSH-PULL Lever Opertion Alwys PUSH or PULL the lever ner the end s shown for est results. In-Swinging Doors To open the door from the outside, PUSH the outside lever or rotte the lever in either diretion. To exit the room, PULL the inside or rotte the lever in either diretion. Out-Swinging Doors d. To open the door from the outside, PULL the outside lever or rotte the lever in either diretion. e. To exit the room, PUSH the inside lever or rotte the lever in either diretion. Interior Loking Lever Loksets f. PUSH the Privy Button to lok. PULL the Privy Button out or operte the inside lever to unlok. PUSH DO NOT PUSH HERE PULL Trouleshooting g. The PUSH nd PULL funtions work est when the lth olt n move freely in nd out of the Strike Plte. h. Wether stripping or wrped door n sometimes fore the olt ginst the Strike Plte. This will inrese the fore neessry to PUSH or PULL the lever.
