5 Attach Y End Stop to Spider Mounting Plate 1 3/8 Nylon Spacer 1 M3x16 1 M3 Nylock Make sure Y End Stop is attached to Spider Mounting Plate so that it is oriented at end of slot that is closer to the square end of the Spider Mounting Plate. Notice the location of the Y End Stop at the end of the slot closest to the square end of the Spider Mounting Plate. 6 Attach Spider Mounting Plate to Spider 3 Wave Spring 3 1/8 Nylon Spacer 3 M3x12 Place Spider on work surface so the rubber pads are on work surface. Place 1/8 Nylon Spacers over the remaining three holes of the Spider (see Photo 1 below). Place Wave Spring over each hole of the Spider so the Nylon Spacer is inside the Wave Spring (see Photo 2 below). Insert M3x12 screw into the holes on the ends of the Spider Mounting Plate (Belt clamp should be facing up). Screw the Spider Mounting Plate to the Spider making sure the Wave Spring and Spacer are between the Spider Mounting Plate and the Spider (see Photo 3 below). Tighten screws. 14 Fans Sub-Assembly 1 40mm Fan 1 50mm Fan 1 40mm Fan Guard 1 50mm Fan Guard 1 Fan Bracket 1 M3x40 4 M3 Washer 2 M3x22 2 M3x18 4 M3 Nylock 40mm Fan Assembly Label on fan should be face down. Wire should be in bottom right corner. Insert M3x40 in upper left hole of fan. Place M3 washer on upper right and lower left holes. Place 40mm Fan Guard over Fan. Insert M3x18 screw thru upper right hole in fan guard and fan. Insert M3x22 screw thru hole on the long end of the fan bracket and then thru lower left hole in fan guard. Secure both screws with M3 Nylock. 50mm Fan Assembly - Label on fan should be face down. Wire should on upper right side. Place M3 washer on lower right and upper left holes. Place 50mm Fan Guard over Fan. Insert M3x18 screw thru hole in fan guard. Insert M3x22 screw thru upper left hole and then thru short end of the fan bracket. Secure both screws with M3 Nylock. Take note of the orientation of the sides and bottom in order to facilitate reassembly of the case after the RAMBo has been installed on the case bottom. Insert a 440 black nylon screw from the underside of the case bottom into each hole and secure with 440 Nylon Nut (see photo E - 1). 20 Attach SD Card Holder to Electronics Case Top 1 Case Top 2 SD Card Holder Bottoms 1 SD Card Holder Top 1 SD Card Reader 3 M3X16 SS Socket Cap Screws 3 M3 Nylocks Place SD Card Reader into slot on Case Top. Put the SD Card Holder Top over the two SD Card Holder Bottoms and place over SD Card Reader. Insert M3X16 SS Socket Cap thru the Top and Bottom SD Card Holders and secure with M3 Nylocks. 21 Attach 40mm Fan to Electronics Case Top 1 Case Top 1 40mm Fan 4 M3X18 SS Socket Cap Screws 4 M3 SS Washers 4 M3 Nylocks Make sure the label on the 40mm Fan is facing down. Place a M3 SS Washer on the four corner holes of the fan. Place the four M3X18 SS Socket Cap screws thru the holes in the Case Top, M3 SS Washer, and the 40mm Fan. Secure each screw with a M3 Nylock. DO NOT overtighten the M3 Nylocks. It is best if the fan is oriented as in the above photo. This fan will be connected to the 40mm Fan Plug on Wiring Harness 2 when doing the M2 wiring procedure. 22 M2 Assembly Z Stage Assemby Attach Idler Bolt to Z-Stage 1 Idler Bolt Sub-Assembly 1 M6 Nylock Thread Idler Bolt Sub-Assembly into Idler Bolt threaded hole and secure with M6 Nylock. After threading the Idler Bolt to the Z Stage, use the M6 Nylock to secure the Idler Bolt to the Z Stage. M2 Assembly.docx Page 22 of 40

23 Attach Y Motor to Z Stage 4 M3X14 SS Socket Cap 4 M3 Washer Attach the Y Motor to the Z Stage ensuring the wire connector is oriented in the same direction as the Z Motor. The photo on the left shows the Y Motor after attaching it to the Z Stage. The Y Motor connector must be in the same orientation as the Z Motor connector. Attach Y Motor to Z-Stage using M3 Washers and M3X14 SS Socket Cap Screws but do not tighten the screws at this time. M2 Assembly.docx Page 23 of 40

25 Attach Spider Sub-Assembly to Y Rail 1 Spider Sub-Assembly 4 M3 Split Washer 4 M3X8 Low Head SS Socket Cap Attach Spider Sub-Assembly to Y Rail with the rubber pads facing up using four M3 Lock Washers and four M3X8 Low Head SS Socket Cap screws. 29 Attach X End Stop 1 M3X20 SS Socket Cap 1 3/8 Nylon Spacer 1 M3 Nylock Insert M3X20 SS Socket Cap thru the 3/8 inch Nylon Spacer into the last hole on the Top Plate and secure to Top Plate with M3 Nylock. Photo at left shows the hole location for the X End Stop. M2 Assembly.docx Page 29 of 40

30 Attach X Rail to Top Plate 1 X Rail 10 M3x16 SS Socket Cap Screw 2 Brass Alignment Pin 1 M3x14 SS Socket Cap Screw 11 M3 SS Nylock Nut Insert a Brass Alignment Pin into the second to last hole on each end of the X Rail and then place the X Rail onto the Top Plate so the rail is between the X End Stop and the Top Clamp. Insert the M3X14 SS Socket Cap Screw into the last hole of the X Rail that is closest to the X End Stop and secure with M3 SS Nylock Nut. Insert the M3x16 SS Socket Cap Screws into the remaining holes and secure each one of those with M3 SS Nylock Nuts. Once the screws are tight, remove the two Brass Alignment Pins and replace them with the remaining M3x16 Socket Cap Screws and M3 SS Nylock Nut and tighten. M2 Assembly.docx Page 30 of 40

The M3X8 SS Socket Cap is used in the recessed slot closest to the X Rail. The three M3X12 SS Socket Cap screws are used in the other three holes. 35 Attach Extruder Mounting Plate Sub-Assembly to Extruder Mounting Plate and X Rail 1 Printed Extruder Motor Mount 4 M3X12 2 M3 Washer The Extruder Mounting Plate Sub-Assembly is attached to the X Rail Carriage using two M3X12 SS Socket Cap Screws inserted into the two holes inside the round part of the Printed Extruder Motor Mount. Two M3X12 SS Socket Cap Screws and two M3 Washers are inserted in the other two holes of the Printed Extruder Motor Mount. Make sure the screws are very tight so there is no side to side movement.
