4 How to Use the Product Specifications Catalog This Product Specifications Catalog is the result of ideas and suggestions from consumers, builders, dealers, distributors, remodelers and architects, plus our engineering, sales and marketing departments. Together, we have created a Product Specifications Catalog that goes beyond the normal listing of part numbers. Now you have a catalog which assists you in designing, ordering and installing the cabinetry. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. We think that listening to our customers is the best way to provide the support and quality products you deserve. Thanks for choosing Merillat! Understanding the cabinetry item numbers Wall Cabinets Example: Wall Cabinet Cabinet Width W 1242 The wall cabinet width is always listed first and height is always the last two numbers. Thus 12 is the width and 42 is the height. Since most wall cabinets are 12" deep we only list the cabinet depth when it is not 12" as in the following example. Example: Wall Cabinet Cabinet Width W Cabinet Height Cabinet Height Cabinet Depth The depth of the cabinet is 24" and note this number follows the width (36) and precedes the height (27). When the depth is not 12" it will always be the middle two numbers. There is one other exception to the rule and that involves wall blind corner cabinetry. With blind corner cabinetry, the cabinet can be pulled up to 2 7 8" from the corner. Base Cabinets Base cabinets are simpler than wall cabinets because the height (34 1 2" plus 1 1 2" for the countertop) and the depth (24") are always the same unless otherwise noted. Thus the only numbers you need to know are the width. Example: Base Cabinet B 24 The 24 represents the width. Just like the wall cabinets, we do on occasion use a letter after the two digit number to further describe the base cabinet: L (Left Hinging/Left Hand Blind/Left Hand Drawer Stack Position), and R (Right Hinging/Right Hand Blind/Right Hand Drawer Stack Position), DT (Double Trays), DDT (Double Deep Trays), FD (Full Depth Shelf), HDS (Half Depth Shelf), ST (Single Tray), and TOST (Tilt-Out Sink Tray). Bath Cabinets Bath cabinets are similar to base cabinets. The numbers are used to represent the width. Vanity bowl cabinets are either " or " high plus 1 1 2" for the countertop. Example: Vanity Base Top Drawer VBTD 36 Cabinet Width Cabinet Width The letters we use at the end on select vanity cabinets are: L (Left Hinging/Left Hand Drawer Stack Position) and R (Right Hinging/Right Hand Drawer Stack Position). Note: In keeping with our policy of continuous product refinement, Masco Builder Cabinet Group reserves the right to change specifications in design and materials as conditions require, or as improvements develop without notice. Example: Wall Blind Corner Cabinet WBC 42/4530 Cabinet Height Minimum/Maximum Cabinet Width 42 is the width, /45 is the 42" width plus the 3" maximum (2 7 8" actual) for pulling the cabinet and 30 is the height. On occasion, a letter will follow the wall or tall cabinet numbers. The only time we use a letter at the end of the item number is for clarification purposes. The letters we use at the end on select wall or tall cabinets are: L (Left Hinging/Left Hand Blind), R (Right Hinging/Right Hand Blind), and MI (Matching Interior). Note: Tall cabinets follow the same sequence characteristics as wall cabinets; width first followed by height (eg; UC 1884). 5 Computer Design Software Twenty-Twenty Notes Version 8.0 and later: To locate any item within the current catalog, go to the Drop and Drag list. Begin to type the code of the item you are looking for in the Quick Search area. Type one or more letters to list corresponding items in the Drag and Drop list. The more characters you enter, the narrower the selections become. For example, if you type B30, you will get the 30-inch base cabinets. If you type B30H, you narrow the list even more. When you have found the item you are looking for, place it into your design. Proper spacing is important when entering codes to locate items. For example, if you type B30, will locate a 30-inch base cabinet. If you type B 30, with a space, will not locate the cabinet.
