ADJUSTMENTS Locking & releasing the lock pin The cold cut saw is boxed in a locked position. To unlock the saw and raise the saw arm, depress the saw arm slightly and pull the lock pin out. The saw arm will pivot upwards. To lock the saw so that it can be carried or transported, fold the saw arm down and push in the lock pin. Adjusting the vise 1. Place your workpiece on the cold cut saw base, between the fence and vice. 2. Disengage the vice lock and push the vice handle forward. The vice can easily be moved forwards and backwards if the vice lock is disengaged. 3. When the vice is touching the workpiece, close the vice lock Turn the vice handle in a clockwise direction to clamp the workpiece securely in position ONLINE MANUAL Scan this QR Code with your mobile device to take you to the online manual. 5. To remove an object from the vice, rotate the vice handle in an anti-clockwise direction. When the clamping pressure is relieved, the vice lock can be disengaged and the vice handle can be pulled back..

Adjusting the cutting angle Note. The angle guide allows cutting angles from 0 to To adjust the cutting angle, first loosen the angle guide lock lever by turning it in an anticlockwise direction. Adjusting the depth stop Ensure that the depth stop is adjusted to the correct height before commencing operation. The adjustable depth stop is threaded into the pivot mount at the rear of the base. By raising and lowering the depth stop, the distance that the blade travels can be controlled. 1. To adjust the depth stop, first loosen the depth stop nut (anti clockwise). 2. Move the angle guide until the slot line in the base aligns with the desired cutting angle. 2. If you wish to increase the depth of cut, use the 6mm hex key (supplied) to rotate the depth stop clockwise. This will lower the height of the depth stop. 3. Tighten the angle guide lock lever by turning it in a clockwise direction. Note. The angle guide is just a guide. More accurate square cuts can be achieved by lowering the arm down until the blade sits within the base. Sit a square edge against the blade and adjust the fence against the square edge. Tighten the angle guide lock lever before use. IMPORTANT! BEFORE ADJUSTING THE CUTTING ANGLE WITH A SQUARE EDGE, ENSURE THAT THE UNIT HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF AND THE PLUG REMOVED FROM THE SOCKET. 3. If you desire a shallower depth of cut, use the 6mm hex key (supplied) to rotate the depth stop anti clockwise. This will increase the height of the depth stop and restrict the distance that the saw arm can travel. 4. When you are satisfied with the depth stop height, hold the depth stop steady with the 6mm hex key and tighten the depth stop nut. WARNING! NEVER OPERATE THE COLD CUT SAW WITHOUT THE JAM NUT AND THE DEPTH STOP FULLY SECURE.

OPERATION 2. MAXIMUM CUTTING CAPACITIES 3. TURNING ON AND OFF The cut off saw is recommended for cutting mild steel such as pipe, box section, rectangular, angle iron and mild steel bars. Depress and hold the lock-off button then pull the trigger switch to start the tool. After starting release the lock-off button. 6mm 2. To stop the tool release the trigger switch. 75mm 3. When the trigger switch is released the machine turns off. The lock-off button will automatically re-engage. 45mm 6mm 6mm 6mm Solid Bar Recommended for mild steel and copper alloys. 0mm 6mm

MAINTENANCE 4. OPERATION 5. REPLACING A BLADE When all the necessary adjustments have been made including adjusting the vice, cutting angle and depth stop (see Adjustments section), the operation of the cold cut saw can commence. 1. Ensure that the workpiece is fully clamped into place before beginning to cut. IMPORTANT! BEFORE CLEANING YOUR COLD CUT SAW OR CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE MOTOR IS OFF AND THE TOOL DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING. 1. With the 5mm hex key (supplied), loosen the 2 hex bolts that attach the blade bolt cover to the upper blade guard. Slide the cover up to remove. WARNING! NEVER OPERATE THE COLD CUT SAW WITHOUT WEARING THE APPROPRIATE SAFETY GEAR INCLUDING EYE AND HEARING PROTECTION. 2. Depress the lock-off button and pull the trigger to start the tool. 2. Remove the blade bolt cover so that the blade bolt is exposed. 3. Lower the blade onto the workpiece and allow it to cut its way through. (Let let blade do the cutting). 3. Lower and hold the spindle lock lever and rotate the blade anti-clock wise until the spindle lock engages. 4. After the completion of the cut, raise the blade clear of the workpiece. Release the trigger and the cold cut saw will stop. 4. With one hand, keep the spindle lock lever lowered. Use the other hand to unscrew the blade bolt with the 6mm hex key (supplied) in an anti-clockwise direction. CAUTION! THE BLADE MAY CONTINUE SPINNING FOR A SHORT WHILE AFTER THE TRIGGER HAS BEEN RELEASED. KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM A MOVING BLADE. 5. Remove the blade bolt, flange washer and the outer flange.

MAINTENANCE 5. REPLACING A BLADE cont. 6. CLEANING 6. Slide the retractable blade guard into the upper blade guard. Remove the blade and the inside flange. 7. Clean any dust and debris from the spindle, the inner flange and the other components. Re-assemble the blade components in the reverse order, ie. Inner flange, replacement blade, outer flange, flange washer and then the blade bolt. Note. When mounting the blade, make sure that the direction of rotation arrow printed on the blade matches the direction of rotation arrow embossed on the upper blade guard. 8. Lower and hold the spindle lock lever and tighten the blade bolt in a clockwise direction. Cleaning Remove dust and dirt regularly from the machine. Cleaning is best carried out with a fine brush or a cloth. Remove any metal and debris that may have accumulated around the upper blade guard and retractable blade guard. Clean debris from saw recess in bass. Clean chips from spark shield. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. Keep the tool s air vents unclogged and free of dust and dirt. Blow out the motor regularly with compressed air. General inspection Before use, check for cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring and any other condition that may effect safe operation. Do not use damaged equipment. Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate loose over time. Carbon brushes When the carbon brush wears out, the cold cut saw will spark and/or stop. Discontinue use as soon as this happens. It should be replaced prior to recommencing use of the cold cut saw. Carbon brushes are a wearing component of the saw therefore not covered under warranty. Continuing to use the cold cut saw when carbon brushes need to be replaced may cause permanent damage to the saw. Carbon brushes will wear out after many uses. When the carbon brush needs to be replaced, take the saw to an electrician or a power tool repairer for a quick and low cost replacement. Note: Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries caused by the repair of the saw by an unauthorised person or by mishandling of the saw. 9. Rotate the new disc by hand, ensuring that it doesn t wobble and rotates fully. 10. Replace the front blade bolt cover and fix it in place with the 2 hex bolts.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY WARNING! When using mains-powered tools, basic safety precautions, including the following, should always be followed to reduce risk of fire, electric shock, personal injury and material damage. Read the whole manual carefully and make sure you know how to switch the tool off in an emergency, before operating the tool. Save these instructions and other documents supplied with this tool for future reference. The electric motor has been designed for 230V and 240V only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Note: The supply of 230V and 240V on Ozito tools are interchangeable for Australia and New Zealand. This tool is double insulated in accordance with AS/NZS ; therefore no earth wire is required. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an electrician or a power tool repairer in order to avoid a hazard. Note: Double insulation does not take the place of normal safety precautions when operating this tool. The insulation system is for added protection against injury resulting from a possible electrical insulation failure within the tool. Using an Extension Lead Always use an approved extension lead suitable for the power input of this tool. Before use, inspect the extension lead for signs of damage, wear and ageing. Replace the extension lead if damaged or defective. When using an extension lead on a reel, always unwind the lead completely. Use of an extension lead not suitable for the power input of the tool or which is damaged or defective may result in a risk of fire and electric shock. GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term power tool in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool. 1. Work area safety a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes. c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control. 2. Electrical safety a. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. b. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. c. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. d. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. e. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. f. If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock. 3. Personal safety a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury. b. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. c. Prevent unintentional starting. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. g. If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dustrelated hazards. 4. Power tool use and care a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. e. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control. g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation. 5. Service a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained. b. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. COLD CUT SAW SAFETY WARNINGS WARNINGS!.
