The fact that REHAU is so successful with its range in the furniture industry is due to the flexibility in processing and the comprehensive range of polymer edgebands: with over 20,000 active edgeband designs and the comprehensive range of surface finishes, REHAU offers the right edgeband depending on the requirements. Individual solutions are developed in consultation with the customer. When it comes to processing, the focus is also on variety. The RAUKANTEX family consists of three variants: the classic, tried and tested adhesive edgeband, RAUKANTEX pure; the invisible joint starter edgeband, RAUKANTEX plus with adhesive-based functional layer; and the sophisticated, seamless and pure polymer edgeband solution, RAUKANTEX pro. This year, REHAU has expanded its edgeband range with a new formula: RAUKANTEX pro OMR has a functional layer for special applications. There are also innovations with respect to decorative design development: with Synchro-lacquer, REHAU has become the first manufacturer able to transfer the natural aspect of wood decors synchronously onto the edge. The RAUKANTEX magic range has also been developed further and provides warm, metallic tones on the whole component. In interior design and furniture production, together with high product quality, increasing demands with respect to design and appearance play a leading role. RAUKANTEX edging materials open up the whole world of edgebands. Regardless of the customer demands for the edgeband, REHAU offers the right solution for every requirement in terms of design, function and processing: RAUKANTEX pure, RAUKANTEX plus and RAUKANTEX pro. RAUKANTEX pro: The invisible joint edgeband, now also with a new functional layer The process of laser welding edgeband materials has taken hold throughout the furniture industry in recent years. 2 - 2 - NIR (near infrared). RAUKANTEX pro has a special polymer functional layer, which is matched to the exact colours on the visible side of the edgeband. If processed correctly, irrespective of the process used, the functional layer is fused optimally, thus forming a permanent, functional and invisible joint. At the start of the year, REHAU expanded its edgeband range in the area of RAUKANTEX pro invisible joints to include a new OMR functional layer. This was developed specifically for processing thin or brittle surface layers. The new functional layer stands out for its very high fluidity. The activated functional layer can therefore penetrate very deeply into the substrates. Eruptions that can arise due to the form cutting in the case of thin or brittle surface layers are filled. For the manufacturer, this extends the process window and the edgeband can be processed as usual. For the processor, the RAUKANTEX pro invisible edgeband joints score points for their stable, clean, adhesive-free production process and high repeat accuracy. Dirtying of components and machines are things of the past. For the consumer, the perfect component is provided at the end, which meets the highest demands both visually and functionally. RAUKANTEX plus: The starter-level invisible joint The invisible joint look is also a feature of the RAUKANTEX plus edgeband range, which has a prefabricated adhesive layer of matching colour on the back. Thus, the edgeband also creates an invisible joint. RAUKANTEX plus can therefore be described as a springboard for entry into invisible joint technology, complementing the range of invisible joint edgebands available through the standard REHAU range. This edgebanding also works with all processing technologies such as laser, hot air and NIR without the need for any special adjustments. RAUKANTEX pure: The classic adhesive edgeband As all good things come in threes, REHAU brings together the classic adhesive edgebands under RAUKANTEX pure. RAUKANTEX pure can be processed easily with all standard adhesive types and is available as usual in all dimensions and decorative designs.

3 - 3 - New at interzum: Synchro-lacquer and warm metallic tones REHAU has an edgeband collection that is unrivalled. The company holds over 20,000 edgeband designs and can therefore supply the perfect edgeband for the vast majority of surfaces on the market. The edgeband portfolio here is being constantly developed; REHAU has succeeded in developing a paint that is applied to the edgeband at the same time as the decorative image. Natural gloss effects and a realistic feel along the grain, such as also occurs with real wood, are the result. RAUKANTEX edgebands with Synchro-lacquer represent greater naturalness on all wood decors. The RAUKANTEX magic edgeband range has also been developed further. Two developments here provide the warm, metallic tone: either the edgebands are laminated with real metal film, which creates a cool-touch effect in addition to the metallic look, or the edgebands are metallic back-coated and therefore offer a stylish depth effect. Bespoke services for the stock range As a major partner to the furniture industry, REHAU has long established a permanently reliable and comprehensive service. This includes intensive collection work: through the collaboration with board manufacturers and producers of printed decorative papers, an in-house design management team identifies emerging trends at an early stage. For interzum, the range has been expanded such as with the matching edgebands of the new Egger, Pfleiderer, Kaindl and Sonae Arauco collections. New in the REHAU stock range are the Egger Kollektion Dekorativ 2017 to 2019, the Pfleiderer DST-Kollection and the Kaindl Boards Lead Collection. For the collection work, partnerships form the foundation of mutual success. FunderMax and Sonae Arauco trust the reliable collaboration and recently began cooperation with REHAU. All edgeband types RAUKANTEX pure, RAUKANTEX plus, RAUKANTEX pro are available in small quantities from standard stock. Ordering is very simple and can be done online. In the edgeband web shop, customers can choose from over 8,000 variants and order the perfect edgeband in just a few clicks. The order is processed through our dealer network. In the implementation, technicians from REHAU are available on site; whether for PP edgebands or in the switch to invisible joint technology, REHAU customers benefit from the many years of experience. Even during operation, a personal contact is always available, who can make any subsequent adjustments quickly on site if required.
