Riverwood is designed and manufactured right here in New Zealand. Made from 100% New Zealand MDF and finished in top quality laminate. Please take a few moments to read these easy step by step instructions before assembling your Tallboy. WHERE TO ASSEMBLE YOUR TALLBOY Assemble your Tallboy on a clean and smooth surface, free of anything which may damage the wood grain surface. A carpeted floor is ideal. If assembling on a workbench or table we suggest you cover it with the carton the Tallboy was packaged in. WARNING! Never leave hardware parts where children can reach them. Small parts may be a choking hazard! PARTS LIST Following is a list of all the parts needed for this Tallboy. The measurements will help you to identify each part. Please check that all parts are present and undamaged before assembling your Tallboy. If any parts are missing or damaged please call us on for replacements and advice. Do not call the store you bought the Tallboy from as they will be unable to help you. Note: You will find two pieces of board fitted across the ends of the carton. These are for packaging only and are not part of the Tallboy. To help identify the parts, the main components are colour coded with a pen mark on the back edge of the panel. (The edge without any laminate on it.) RED Right Hand Parts. (E.g. RH End, RH Drawer Side, RH Division.) GREEN Left Hand Parts. (E.g. LH End, LH Drawer Side, LH Division.) BLUE Tops PURPLE Bases All other parts will be marked with a black line. CARE OF YOUR TALLBOY. To prolong the life of this quality New Zealand made product please take note of the following precautions. Avoid direct sunlight wherever possible. Keep Tallboy in a dry place. Wipe off spilt liquids immediately. Avoid placing hot items directly on the surface. Clean with a soft cloth and a mild polish.

4 CAM INSTALLATION & OPERATION 4 P a g e INSTALL THE HARDWARE DRAWER SLIDES Your pack will contain six sets of Metal Drawer Slides. Each set comprises of 4 components. These are bundled together with adhesive tape. Undo the tape on one set at a time and separate the parts into four piles. DRAWER SLIDE DRAWER COMPONENTS LEFT HAND PART RIGHT HAND PART The slide components shown above are attached to the drawers. They have the letters DR or DL stamped on them to indicate left hand or right hand components. Put these parts aside for attaching to the drawers later on.

5 5 P a g e LEFT HAND PART RIGHT HAND PART The Drawer Slide components shown above are to be attached to the Tallboy parts shown below. Note that the LH parts have the letters CL stamped on them and the RH parts have the letters CR on them. Screw the CL and CR parts to the Tallboy LH and RH Ends and Division as shown below using the H4 Drawer Slide Screws. Next install the Connecting Bolts, Metal Cams and Dowels as shown below. Turn the division over and install the LH Drawer Slides on the other side of it. H1 Connecting Bolt H2 Metal Cam H15 Dowel H4 Drawer Slide Screw INSTALL THE HARDWARE IN THE TOP. Lay the Top, laminate side down, on a smooth clean surface. Install the six H1 Connecting Bolts in the holes as shown. H1 Connecting Bolt

6 INSTALL THE HARDWARE IN THE RAILS. 6 P a g e Install the H2 Metal Cams and the H15 Dowels in the Rails as shown below. Make sure that the small arrow on the Metal Cam points toward the hole in the edge of the board. ASSEMBLE THE TALLBOY STEP ONE. Lay the LH End, laminate side down on a smooth clean surface. Fit the Rails into place over the Connecting Bolts as shown below. Turn the Metal Cams in a clockwise direction to lock the Rails in place. Make sure that the Metal Cams face toward the top of the Tallboy.

7 7 P a g e STEP TWO. Stand the LH End on its back edge and attach the RH End to the Rails by tightening the Metal Cams. Next attach the Division to the underside of the Top then fit the Top into place onto the top of the Ends as shown. Lock the Top in place by tightening the Metal Cams and attach the Division to the Rails using two of the H5 Large Screws. H5 Large Screws STEP THREE. Now attach the Base to the LH and RH Ends using the Large Screws (H5) provided. Then attach the four Plastic Feet with the eight 50mm Wood Screws (H11). Make sure that the angles on the feet face towards the centre of the Tallboy. H5 Large Screw H11 Wood Screw

8 8 P a g e STEP FOUR. Lay the Tallboy on its front edge. The Back Panel of your Tallboy is made in two parts. One part has a tongue on the edge and the other has a groove. Lay the panel with the tongue along one edge of the Tallboy. Ensure that it fits down into the rebate. Slide the other Back Panel into place beside it making sure that the tongue fits into the groove. Nail the Back Panel in place with the Small Nails provided. Space the nails about 10 to 15 cm apart. Stand the Tallboy upright. Important! Please ensure that the LH and RH Ends of your Tallboy are straight before nailing on the Back Panel. If the Ends are allowed to bend outwards the drawers will not run properly.

9 ASSEMBLE THE DRAWERS All Drawers are constructed in the same manner and consist of the same parts 9 P a g e STEP ONE: Install the hardware as shown below. Note: Some drawers have two dowels in them. Be sure that the arrow on the Metal Cam points to the end of the drawer side nearest it. H1 Connecting Bolt H3 Metal Cam H15 Dowel

10 10 P a g e STEP TWO: Lay the Drawer Front face down on a smooth, clean surface. Attach the LH and RH Drawer Sides by fitting them down into place over the Connecting Bolts installed in the Drawer Front. Turn the Metal Cams clockwise to lock the Drawer Sides in place. Next slide the Drawer Bottom into place in the grooves in the Drawer Sides and Drawer Front. Fit the Drawer Back into place between the Drawer Sides and secure with four (H9) Wood Screws as shown below. STEP THREE: Turn the drawer upside-down as shown and attach the Drawer Slides with the two (H6) Small Wood Screws. Each slide only requires one screw. STEP FOUR: Attach the Drawer Handles to the Drawer Front using the (H44) Handle Screws provided. Fit the drawer into the Tallboy. Make sure that the rollers at the back of the drawer go behind the front rollers in the Tallboy and into the channel of the drawer slide. (It helps to lift the front of the drawer up a little when doing this.)
