RF Also covered is the CS 33/3549A retrofit cling system for converting 33/3547A Series to 33/3549A Series (comptile with models 33/3547A, 33/3547A-F, 33/3547A-LR, nd 33/3547A-F-LR). Pull on cle snp to loosen cle for removl. slot cle snp 2

3 3 Determine if ottom Retrction Adjustment is Necessry. For 2-Point Only 4 Adjust ottom Retrction (if necessry). For 2-Point Only. Flex the cle into n L-shpe s shown to simulte the instlled condition of the ltches. NOTE: Adjustment must e mde while the top ltch is in the hold-open position, with cle flexed into n L-shpe to simulte the instlled condition of the ltches. These (2) hex components re used to mke the djustment. sleeve snp-fitting. Pull ck nd hold the spring-loded sleeve. top ltch. To determine whether n djustment is required, ctute the top ltch to the hold-open position y pressing down on the connecting rod. ottom ltch should retrct to within ¹ ₁₆" of flush. If it does not, n djustment is necessry.. While holding the sleeve in plce, rotte the rrel of the snp-fitting clockwise y hnd until the ottom ltch is retrcted to within ¹ ₁₆" of flush. press If no djustment is needed, proceed to Step 5. ¹ ₁₆" flush snp-fitting top ltch (hold-open position) ottom ltch (retrcted) c. Slowly relese the sleeve, confirming it hs seted over the hex end of the snp-fitting. 3

NOTE: Confirm top ltch (nd ottom ltch, if pplicle) is in correct orienttion efore proceeding. 1-Point (LL) NOTE: It is norml for the cle to end inside the door, forcing the ltch outwrd. 6 15 Secure Center Slide to Door. 16 Align ottom nd Instll Mounting Screws. Aluminum For 2-Point Only Secure center slide to door y lightly tightening lower screw Align upper hole visully 17 Secure Top with 2 Screws. Aluminum Insert smll screwdriver into upper hole to prevent center slide from rotting c Fully tighten lower screw d 18 Instll ottom Mounting rcket Assemly. 9 30 Instll ottom Strike. Hollow Metl For 2-Point Only Cler holes of deris, then drop in nchors (slotted end first) Secure the nchors using hmmer nd punch IMPTANT: Anchors must e elow flush. 32 Instll Lift Finger nd Retiner Clip. NOTE: The lift finger instlltion nd djustment must e performed while the ltches re in the extended (ltched) position. Slide L-shped lift finger thru lock in device center cse nd then into center slide For 2-Point Only Push cle to the side so it does not interfere with lift finger. Insert djustment screw through top slot nd rotte with screwdriver to rise lift finger until it is snug ginst lock c Lift finger must insert into center slide here Instll strike plte nd secure with 2 screws Instll retiner clip ginst lift finger, snpping it into the slot of the djustment screw d Secure lift finger nd retiner clip with screw e c 349 ottom Strike slot 33 Adjust Lift Finger. NOTE: Lift finger djustment must e performed while the ltches re in the extended (ltched) position. 31 Prepre Threshold. Aluminum For 2-Point Only Loosen retiner clip screw Loosen djustment screw until the lift finger drops nd you feel contct with the center slide. After closing door with ottom ltch instlled, mrk the loction the ottom ltch olt is contcting the threshold.. Drill ³ ₄" dimeter hole in the threshold. olt ³ ₄" Di. Tighten retiner clip screw c Stop 9

10 34 Perform Functionl Test of Door.. Depress pushr. Door should egin to open when pushr is nerly fully depressed. If necessry, refer to Step 33 to redjust lift finger.. With door closed, top ltch should e secure. For 2-Point Only c. With door closed, ottom ltch should e secure. d. Confirm tht ottom ltch does not drg ginst floor when door is opened. Hollow Metl For 2-Point Only If this occurs, remove ltch djustment pin nd rise ltch, then reinsert pin in next notch. Pin must go thru oth sides of rcket 35 Adjust Top Strike s Necessry, then Instll the Third Strike Screw to Fix the Strike Position. (metl) (wood) 36 Instll Center Cse Cover. Remove mortise cylinder cm nd reinstll in reverse (Figure 1). 2. Insert key nd rotte cm to instll the cylinder to the cover plte (Figure 2). 3. Remove key to slide cover plte in position in the mechnism cse.
