2 Stem & Adapter Options The WoodScents kit includes multiple stem and adapter options: Ti Tip w/ O-Rings & Filter Disc Conical Screen Wood stem and WPA to be used with the Ti tip Glass stem and WPA to be used with conical screens Wood or glass pieces with 14/18mm tapers can be paired with a waterpipe Wood Titanium & SS Parts 2" 14/18mm Wood AromaWPA 3" 14mm Wood 4" Glass 14mm Glass AromaWPA Conical Screen The Ti tip easily attaches to the wood or WPA, and the condenser easily inserts into the. Small o-rings hold these parts snug and firmly within the wood. Bomb Ass Butter should be used to lubricate the o-rings to reduce wear. Simply wipe a little Bomb Ass Butter onto the o-rings before inserting these parts. Condenser 3" Wood The Ti filter disc can be positioned in either of the grooves machined within the tip to reduce load size. While the tip is inserted into the wood stem (without condenser) or WPA, insert the dowel rod in the opposite end until it meets the filter disc. Carefully, but firmly, push the dowel against the filter disc until it clicks into the groove at the desired depth. Glass Parts Ti Filter Disc Condenser inserted so o-ring is flush w/ tapered end Machined Grooves A high-temp o-ring should be placed on the heater core before using the glass stem or WPA to create a proper seal and prevent air from leaking into your draw. When the unit is off and cool to the touch, simply slide an o-ring onto the core and down against the ridge. Dowel Rod Use the wood dowel rod to insert conical screens into the glass stem and WPA before use. Screens can be set to different depths in the straight stem but cannot be inserted farther than the 3 pinches in the WPA. High-Temp O-Ring Aromatherapy The glass AromaCup is to be used for aromatherapy and should be used without the high-temp o-ring installed on the heater core. Simply put a few drops of your favorite essential oil within the cup and place it on the WoodScents, then turn the dial to the appropriate setting to release the fragrance. The WoodScents can also be used with potpourri, botanicals, and even flowers. When using materials such as these it's best they be coarsely ground and placed loosely, not packed, to ensure even airflow. Glass Oil AromaCup TIP: Unravel a cotton ball and place into bottom of cup. The cotton will absorb oil to prevent spills yet still allow it to be heated and release fragrance. 2

3 se Choose your desired stem or WPA option and load a small amount of ground material and then lightly tamp it down. If using the WoodScents with a stem, hold your WoodScents at a slight angle and place the loaded stem over the heater core. As you draw, slightly rotate stem for even and optimal vaporization. Repeat process until load is spent. If using the WoodScents with a waterpipe, place your loaded stem or WPA into the female connection of your water pipe. Invert the WoodScents and place the heater core in the stem or WPA using the same rotating technique. Do not leave the WoodScents inverted for long periods of time or unattended. Immediately after use remove spent loads by simply blowing through the stem or adapter. If tip/end is not completely free of material, use the included brush or poker for further cleaning. Give the stem a final blow-through to reduce the need to fully disassemble and clean. If any material falls within the AromaLog itself, simply invert it and shake lightly to dislodge material as needed. Glass: The glassware should be cleaned periodically. Simply soak in isopropyl alcohol and wash thoroughly, letting dry completely before reusing. Wood: Wood parts should NEVER be soaked or submerged. Simply remove the titanium tip and swab out the inside of the wood stem using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol (squeezing out the excess). Let it dry before use. In addition to lubricating o-rings, Bomb Ass Butter should be used periodically to condition wood pieces to ensure their longevity. Wrap a paper towel around your finger tip, get a small dab of BAB, then wipe and smear into all areas of the wood. Take a clean paper towel or cloth and then rub and wipe off the remaining BAB from the wood. Titanium & SS: Soak and wash the tip and condenser as you would the glass. Let dry before use. 3

4 DynaVap Compatibility The WoodScents kit includes a DynaVap cap that can be used in combination with the titanium tip and wooden stem/wpa. DynaVap's instructions are reproduced in full below; however, some portions that do not necessarily apply to the WoodScents kit have been italicized. To use your VapCap: Most Important! Before your first use, please read all of these instructions and then do at least two, preferably more than two, dry runs with nothing in the VapCap! This is very important to become familiar with the operation of the unit and prevent unintentional combustion residues. The VapCap is unlike any other vaporizer, so give it a few tries empty to get the feel of its unique temperatureindicating click. Heat the VapCap in a quiet area, listen and feel so you know what you are looking for. If you are using a torch lighter, this should not take more than 5 or 6 seconds. Heat the middle of the cap not the end and rotate while heating. If more than 6 seconds go by and you don t hear the click, stop heating and let it cool down. If you severely overheat your VapCap it can be permanently damaged. It is very important you hear the cool down click, or allow it to cool to the touch, before heating for the next cycle. Repeat this procedure several times to get the feel of how this little unit operates. When you are ready for the first use, let it cool down, then remove the cap from the VapCap. Fill the VapCap chamber with your material of choice. This can be done easily by pushing the VapCap into a container of your material and twisting. Pre-grinding your material is NOT needed like when using a bat or hitter. If you prefer to grind, go coarse. Finely ground material will get through the diffuser disc and into the unit. Place the cap back on the VapCap. Heat up the metal cap of your VapCap while rotating it, with the flame or heat source applied to the last third of the metal cap. Try to only apply heat to the side of the cap and NOT the end. This is not like lighting a smoking device. Continue rotating and heating the cap until you hear and or feel a click - this means the VapCap is ready! Puff on the mouthpiece. Experiment a little here. If you draw with the air hole completely plugged the flow will seem somewhat restricted. This is normal. Some find they get the best result by taking a long, slow steady draw with the hole completely open, and others will intermittently or lightly cover the air/vapor mix port. The way air flows through the VapCap cools the vapor to provide a smooth experience. Keep drawing as desired until you hear the click again, this means the VapCap has cooled down. When the vapor production diminishes, it is easy to reactivate. a. Make sure the VapCap has re-clicked to cool before reheating for the next cycle. b. If you are not sure if it has re-clicked, gently blow on the end to cool it. It may take up to 1 minute to reset. When there is no longer any desirable vapor produced, and the cap has clicked to cool, remove the cap. The consumed material can be either blown out the end, or the little tang on the cap is also a wonderful digger outer. Reload for another round of simple and wonderful vapor. Tips: It is recommended that you use a butane torch style lighter with your VapCap. Wait until you hear or feel the reset click or at least 30 seconds after the VapCap stops producing vapor to reheat. It is VERY important to wait until you hear the cool down click before applying more heat. Stop heating your VapCap as soon as you hear the click until you get to know each other better. You can vary the intensity of the flavor by using the air/vapor adjustment port. Depending on your personal preference and heat source, as well as how many cycles since the VapCap was loaded, you may want to apply heat for 1-2 seconds after the click. This will provide for a different level of roasted flavor. DO NOT APPLY HEAT FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS PAST THE CLICK! OVERHEATING WILL PERMANENTLY DAMAGE THE VAPCAP! The end of the VapCap gets very hot during and following use. Do not touch the hot end until it has cooled. Also please do not put the hot end into your mouth. The VapCap can be safely put back in its Special Case or reloaded after the cool down click is heard. 4
