We know assembling furniture, toys or accessories is not everyone s favourite way to spend their time, so we ve tried to make assembling this item as quick and painless as possible. Poppins Toy Chest Hopefully our efforts will have been worthwhile and you ll sail through the whole process. ut if it all feels a bit too much like hard work, then we do have an assembly company we can recommend: the Flatpack Construction Company offers a nationwide service and can be contacted on or few important pointers before you start: Please read the instructions right through before you start, and check separating all the hardware into piles makes it easier to be sure that everything is present and correct. Make sure you have the right tools. llen keys are provided if required, you need at the beginning of the instructions. It s a good idea to build the unit in the room where you are going to be using it, to avoid the need to move it after it s been assembled. 2 Safety Warnings: dult assembly required. Unassembled product contains small parts which may present a choking hazard. Children should be kept away from the product during assembly to avoid any possible risk of injury. ssemble and use on a flat and level surface. DO NOT use power tools in the assembly of this product as there is a risk of over-tightening and consequently splitting of the wood. IMPORTNT! The lid support mechanism must be installed correctly to ensure that entrapment risks are not present. Check to make sure the lid support is correctly installed by moving the lid up and down. When you let go of the lid it should stop not fall or slam shut. Check all fixtures and fittings regularly and tighten as necessary. Please retain these instructions for future reference Customer Service: If you find that any components are missing or damaged, please do not begin assembly and do not use the item. Please contact GLTC Customer Services on immediately. We do stock spare hardware packs at our warehouse, so we should be able to send you a replacement pack immediately if required. Product Care: Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth. Do NOT use cleaning products which contain ammonia, solvents or abrasive material. Do NOT expose the item to extremes of heat and humidity. Could we do better? Insert 1x cam dowel () into the middle of the back panel () where shown and secure with a philips screwdriver.

5 Hardware for Step 2: Hardware for Step 3: 1x Cam Dowels 2x Wooden Dowels 2x Cam Locks C STEP 2: Secure 1x cam dowel () into the middle of the front panel () where indicated. STEP 3: ttach the support rail (C) to panels and by inserting 2x wooden dowels () to the ends of panel (C) and sloting it in so that it engages with the cam dowels on panels and. Secure by inserting 2x cam locks () and turning clockwise with a philips screwdriver. 5

6 Hardware for Step 4: Hardware for Step 5: 5x Cam Dowels 5x Cam Dowels 3x Screws 12mm 3x Screws 12mm 1x #9 Flat Runner 1x 0 Flat Runner #9 #9 0 0 D E STEP 4: Insert 5x cam dowels () to side panel (D), 3 on one side and 2 on the other. Line up 1x flat runner (#9) so that the wheel is on the side with only 2x cam dowels (), attach with 3x screws () as shown starting with the screw that goes into the first hole from the wheel, this will allow all the pilot holes and runner holes to match up. STEP 5: Insert 5x cam dowels () to the second side panel (E), 3 on one side and 2 on the other. Line up 1x flat runner (0) so that the wheel is on the side with only 2x cam dowels (), attach with 3x screws () as shown. 6

7 Hardware for Step 6: 5x Cam Locks D F C D STEP 6: ttach side panel (D) to back panel () and front panel () using 5x cam locks (). Secure in place by turning the cam locks clockwise. STEP 7: Slide in base panel (F) as shown. 7

8 Hardware for Step 8: Hardware for Step 9: 1x Cam Locks 6x Wooden Dowels 7x Screws 40mm G E F C F C E STEP 8: Slot side panel (E ) to the unit and insert 1x cam lock () to back panel (), secure with a philips screwdriver. Please note, you will secure the remaining cam dowels at a later stage. STEP 9: Insert 6x wooden dowels () to the top of the unit where indicated. Lower the plinth panel (G) on to the main frame ensuring that the rounded corners are to the front where the drawer gap is. Secure with 7x screws (). 8

9 Hardware for Step 10: Hardware for Step 11 4x Cam Locks 2x Screws 25mm E D I J G H STEP 10: IMPORTNT: two people are needed to complete the next step safely. With the assistance of a second person turn the toy chest over. Finish securing the RH side panel (E) to back panel () and front panel () using 4x cam locks () inside the toy chest. STEP 11: Create the upstand using panels H, I and J and securing with 2x screws (). NOTE: Ensure the countersunk holes on upstand sides H & I are facing outwards. 9

10 Hardware for Step 12: Hardware for Step 13 6x Wooden Dowels 15x Screws 12mm 7x Screws 25mm 3x #7 Hinges I #7 J K K H #7 #7 #7 E D G STEP 12: Position the upstand to the lid K using 6x wooden dowels () and carefully turning over the panel, fix in place using 7x screws (). 10 STEP 13: IMPORTNT: two people are needed to complete the next step safely. ttach 3x hinges (#7) to the lid panel (K) using 5x screws () per hinge. The easiest way to do this is to attach the hinges (#7) to the lid panel first with 2x screws () per hinge (#7) then with the help of a second person holding the lid in place attach the second side of the hinge (#7) to back panel () with the 3x remaining screws ().

With the assistance of a second person to hold the top panel K in place, attach the safety hinge (0) with 4x screws () as shown. STEP 15: Prepare drawer side (L) by attaching runner (1). lign so that the wheel is nearest the side with 2x holes on the outer side of the panel. Secure with 3x screws () as shown. 11

STEP 17: Locate the drawer front panel (O), insert 4x cam dowels () to the corners of panel (O). Then attach the drawer handle (N) using 2x screws (). 12

13 Hardware for Step 18: Hardware for Step 19: 4x Screws 25mm 4x Cam Locks M P Q L M P O Q L STEP 18: ssemble the drawer by aligning side panels M and L to the drawer back panel (P). Secure these with 2x screws () on each side ensuring that the runners are facing outwards on both side panels. Slide in the drawer base panel (Q). STEP 19: Insert 4x cam locks () to the front facing hardware holes on side panels M and L. Slot in the drawer front panel (O) ensuring that the base panel (Q) slots into the groove on panel (O) then secure the cam locks (). 13
