REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. 2. Starting at the front, passenger side of the vehicle, locate and remove the rubber plug in the body well located next to the outer pinch weld, (Figure 1). Insert (1) 12mm x 40mm Short Bolt Plate into the hole and center it in the hole, (Figures 2 & 3). Select (1) front or rear L Support Bracket, (Figure 4). Attach the shorter bent end of the Bracket to the Bolt Plate with (1), (1) 12mm Lock Page 1 of 7 6/12/14 (DP)

2 Washer and (1), (Figure 5). NOTE: Rotate Bracket toward the rear of the vehicle. Do not tighten hardware at this time. NOTE: All mounting locations may be covered with sealant or thick undercoating. Brackets must fit flush against sheet metal. Scrape off any excess sealant or undercoating. 3. Remove the two mm fine thread factory hex bolts located on the bottom of the inner frame channel, (Figure 6). Select the passenger side. Attach the inner end of the Bracket to the two threaded holes in the frame using the supplied (2) mm x 35mm Special Fine Thread Hex Bolts, (2) 10mm Lock Washers and, (Figure 7). Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time. 4. Line up the outer mounting hole in the with the back of the Support Bracket. Bolt the Bracket to the back of the Support Bracket with (1) mm x 35mm STD Thread Hex Bolt, (2) 10mm Flat Washers, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figures 7 & 8). Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time. 5. Move toward the center of the vehicle. Locate and remove the rubber plug in the back side of the inner body panel, (Figure 9). Select (1) 12mm Short Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer, (Figure 2). Partially thread the Retainer onto the Bolt Plate. Insert the Bolt Plate into the hole in the side of the body panel. Thread the Retainer down tight against the sheet metal, (Figure 10). The Retainer is designed to help hold the Bolt Plate in place during Bracket installation. 6. Next, locate and remove the factory 6mm hex bolt attaching the heat shield to the inner frame channel, (Figure 10). NOTE: Use the passenger side Center to help identify the correct 6mm hex bolt to remove. Driver side will only have a threaded hole, no heat shield. 7. Select the passenger side Center Bracket and longer Center Support Bracket, (Figures 11 & 12). Attach the bent end of the Support Bracket to the Bolt Plate with (1), (1) 12mm Lock Washer and (1), (Figure 13). Do not tighten hardware at this time. 8. Bolt the Center Bracket to the threaded hole with the included 6mm x 25mm Hex Bolt, 6mm Lock Washer and 6mm Flat Washer, (Figure 14). Leave loose at this time. 9. Line up the outer end of the Center Bracket with the Support Bracket. Bolt the Center Bracket to the back of the Support Bracket with (1) 10mm x 35mm Hex Bolt,, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figures 13 & 14). Do not fully tighten hardware at this time. 10. Continue along the side of the vehicle toward the rear. Remove the round rubber plug on the outer body panel next to the pinch weld, (Figure 15). Repeat Step 2 to install the L Support Bracket for the rear, (Figures 16 & 17). NOTE: and rear L Support Brackets are the same but the rear Support Bracket will instead face forward. 11. Remove the oval rubber plug, (if equipped), located on the bottom of the inner frame channel, (Figure 17). Thread (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer partially onto (1) 12mm x 40mm Long Bolt Plate, (Figure 18). Insert the Bolt Plate into the oval hole, (Figure 19). Thread the Plastic Retainer down until it is tight against the frame channel. 12. Position the passenger side rear up to the vehicle. Attach the Bracket to the 12mm Bolt Plate with the included (1), (1) and (1), (Figure 20). Line up the outer mounting hole in the Bracket with the Support Bracket. Bolt the rear Bracket to the front of the Support Bracket with (1) mm x 35mm STD Thread Hex Bolt, (2) 10mm Flat Washers, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figure 20). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware at this time. 13. Carefully unwrap the passenger side Running Board. Running Boards are shipped with a 1 tall Rubber back seal. On LX & EX models, install the Running Board as received. On SX & Limited models, slide out the 1 seal and replace it with the included 2 Rubber Seal. IMPORTANT: Lay Rubber Seal out in the sun to flatten if necessary before installing. 14. From the front, slide (3) 6mm T-Bolts into each channel in the bottom of the Running Board, (Figure 21). Slide the T-Bolts forward or back to line up with the slots in the (3) s. Hold the Running Board up to the vehicle at a slight angle and gently push it into position against the rocker panel. Insert the T-Bolts through the slots in the Brackets but leave loose at this time. NOTE: It may be necessary to loosen, (but not remove), the Bracket hardware to insert the Running Board between the Brackets and the body. Page 2 of 7 6/12/14 (DP)

Once the Running Board is in the approximate position and the T-Bolts lined up with the (3) Brackets, attach the Running Board to the s with the included (6) 6mm Flat Washers, (6) 6mm Lock Washers and (6) 6mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 22). Do not tighten hardware. 16. Level and adjust the Running Board properly and tighten all hardware. 17. Repeat Steps 2 16 for driver side Running Board installation. 18. Do periodic inspections of the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap may be used also to clean the Running Board. For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Running Board.
