1 STELLA AUTO SIDECAR INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS Open crate and inspect sidecar Remove cardboard box from inside the sidecar Remove all hardware holding the sidecar to the crate Remove sidecar from crate Remove all parts from the crate and cardboard box Seats, windshield assembly, tonneau cover, wheel with hub and large bag of hardware

2 Locate axle assembly in the hardware bag Install the axle assembly with the lock tab washer positioned as shown. Hand tighten the rear spindle nut to hold washer in place We set the sidcar on the empty crate to help with the assembling of the sidcar Bend tabs down flush top and bottom Tighten rear spindle nut with wrench. Bend tab over flush to the rear spindle nut

Carefully install wheel and hub assembly onto the spindle as

Install washer and castle nut and snug down with a wrench.

Grab the top of the wheel and shake it there should be no

3 Remove the castle nut and washer. Put a small amount of grease on the spindle. Carefully install wheel and hub assembly onto the spindle as shown. Be careful not to damage the teflon bushings. Install washer and castle nut and snug down with a wrench. Do not overtightened the castle nut, you want slight resistance when the wheel is turned. But the wheel should turn freely. Grab the top of the wheel and shake it there should be no wobble. Locate the cotter pin in the hardware. Install cotter pin as shown(you may have turn the castle nut slightly to get proper alignment) Bend over cotter pin as shown to assure proper lock

4 Locate hardware and assemble as shown Install fender assembly to sidecar frame as shown. Install the hardware for the windshield with the nuts and studs outward as shown. To prevent passenger injury, install the hardware for the windshield base and uprights with the nuts and studs outward as shown

5 Set seat cushion in place and line up the studs with the predrilled holes From under the sidecar, install and tighten nuts and washers Slide the seat rest onto the hook and push down until the seat Cushion is firmly attached Remove screws from center mat and set the mat on the side Starting from the rear of the floorboard measure 12 and dimple with a scribe.

7 Layout bracket with the hub toward the right side of the Stella. Raise up the bracket align and put the bolts through the center holes of the mounting bracket. Install washer and nut hand tight on both sides. With the bolts installed hand tight realign your top bracket to the pilot holes. Next, drill out the last 4 holes with the larger drill bit

8 Install the last four bolts and tighten all the bolts down. With the Stella on the center stand, bring the sidecar over and align the holes on the flanges. Install all four bolts and tighten by hand. Be sure to install the rubber spacer. Tighten the bolts in the following sequence: Top, bottom, front and then the rear.

Install short bolt from hardware kit and secure with a washer and nut.

Loosen the jam nuts and remove bolt nut and washer from the clevis end.

9 Install small L bracket. Remove the 12mm body bolt, pass the bolt through the front hole in the bracket and reinstall hand tight. Next, align the holes in the body and the bracket. Install short bolt from hardware kit and secure with a washer and nut. Tight both down. Loosen the jam nuts and remove bolt nut and washer from the clevis end. Do not loosen the pinch bolt in the center. Swing the arm over and align the clevis end with hole in the body mounted bracket. Install bolt with the head up as shown. Tighten all nuts and bolts Fender marker light. Wiring for marker light

10 Carefully remove the lens Feed cut end of the long wire through the hole in the center of the light Connect the female end onto one side of the bulb holder. Connect the female end of the short lead to the opposite side of the bulb holder. Unscrew one of the hold down screws and use it to anchor the eyelet as shown.

11 Support sidcar swing arm and remove wheel. Pass wire through brackets on the backside of the fender. Take out slack and bring wire to the edge of the fender. Loop wire around edge of fender to the frame.

12 Attach wire to frame with a zip-tie. Feed wire through frame under the sidecar. Use zip-ties to attach wire along the frame. Run wire along support arm onto the Stella.

13 Zip-tie wire to frame. Run wire up over the battery box. Feed wire under tail section. Remove taillight. Pass wire through grommet for taillight wiring.

14 Splice in marker light wire to the yellow pilot light wire in the taillight as shown Take up wire slack.

15 Hook wires back into taillight. Start up The Stella and the marker light should light up with the taillight pilot light
