2 Preparation DL EGALINE PRIMER Is used as a bonding primer for DL Egaline in case of layer on layer floor levelling application or as prior primer and bonding primer on non-absorbing and smooth surfaces. DL Egaline Primer reduces the porosity, protects cement based adhesives and levelling-mortars from too rapid dehydration and prevents formation of cracks caused by shrinkage. Extends the open time of adhesives and improves the adhesion of levelling compounds and adhesives. The primer has a light blue control colour. After the film-formation the primer becomes more transparent, whereupon further work can start D Jar 5 l 120 DL EGALINE Dry, ready-to-use, fast-levelling mortar designed for floors. By the simple addition of water a self-levelling mortar for indoor use is obtained. DL Egaline contains very fine graded silica sand and allows to place very thin layers and to obtain a smooth surface. Unevenness from 0,5 mm to 10 mm can be smoothened in one single layer. DL Egaline offers an ideal substrate for tile work, lamination, parquet, broadloom, cork, vinyl, linoleum... Excellent self-deliquescence Fast hardening: set to light foot traffic after ± 3 h and can be covered after ± 24 h Excellent adhesion High resistance after curing D Bag 20 kg 50 METHOD OF USE Non-absorbent, smooth, dense substrates like ceramic floor coverings, smooth concrete, etc. must be pre-treated with undiluted DL Egaline Primer with a soft paint roller or brush. DL Egaline is made up with ± 25% water (± 5 l of water per bag of 20 kg), depending on the desired consistency. Slowly and evenly add the dry levelling mortar quantity to the water and blend with a slowly rotating mixer the contents vigorously for 2 minutes. Let the levelling mortar stand undisturbed for 5 minutes and stir the mixture vigorously again. Poor the DL Egaline in strips along the floor. A light smoothing out with a hand puller, an equalizing float, or a pin roller may be desirable. DL Egaline is applied in 1 or 2 layers. In case a second layer is necessary, apply it as soon as the first one has hardened. Before applying the second layer, the first layer must first be primed with undiluted DL Egaline Primer. The second layer can be applied after film formation (± 1 hour) of the primer. A minimum layer thickness of 3 mm screed is required for applications under parquet floorings. After full curing the DL parquet adhesives can be applied for all types of parquet floors and other wooden flooring. Can be used on porous substrates and tiled floors. Easy to use Drying time: 2-24 h (depending on the conditions) Highly improved adherence Solvent-free: it doesn t have a smell N Jar 5 l N000253* Jar 25 l 26 *on demand METHOD OF USE Apply the primer in one layer with a roll or brush. The primer must be completely dry before you apply the parquet adhesive. Dry time depends on the circumstances. Parquet Primer WB cures by evaporation of water. Tools can be cleaned with water. Bonding PARACOL CLASSIC Ready-to-use, water-free and alcohol based vinyl adhesive for gluing lacquered floors and floorboards of any variety of wood on most common surfaces. Good heat and humidity resistance. Paracol Parquet Classic is easy to apply and has very high sticking power N Bucket 14 kg 30 METHOD OF USE The parquet s humidity must be similar to the room s humidity. We therefore advise you to store the parquet in the room for 48 hours before laying it. Stir well before use. Apply Paracol Parquet Classic on the surface in stripes of 50 cm to 1 m. Make sure you do not exceed the indicated consumption levels, as this can have disastrous consequences: it prevents the glue from drying and impedes the bonding process. Provide an 8 to 10 mm gap between the parquet floor and the walls. Put the parquet in the wet glue, ensure a perfect contact. The open time is ± 30 minutes. Let the floor dry for at least 48 hours before sanding it. Clean your tools and remove fresh stains with water or alcohol. PARACOL 2C PU Very strong, high quality and universal 2 component parquet adhesive, based on PU. For gluing all kind of parquet (wooden boards, mosaic parquet). Suitable for use on porous and non-porous surfaces. This adhesive is solvent- and water-free, minimizing the risk of deforming the wood flooring N Bucket 9 kg + Can 1 kg 55 METHOD OF USE The parquet adhesive must be applied on an even, dry, clean and smooth substrate, which is free from irregularities, cracks and loose parts. Irregularities, such as adhesive remains, must be removed mechanically. Surfaces that are not flat must be evened. Smooth surfaces like anhydrite should be roughened in order to increase the contact surface. A preliminary adhesion test on each substrate is recommended. Mix both components into a homogeneous mass (9/1). Be careful: if there is not enough of component B (hardener) the adhesive will not vulcanize completely. The correct proportions must be respected. Apply the adhesive by means of a suitable notched trowel (5 mm) to the surface. The open time of the adhesive is about minutes. Slide the wood flooring onto the adhesive layer and tap into place with a rubber hammer. Loading the parquet with weights will improve the final bond strength. Wait at least 24 hours before sanding and finishing the parquet. 3

4 HYBRID ADHESIVES The Parabond parquet adhesives are elastic hybrid polymer based adhesives. They are appropriate for bonding all types of parquet floors and other wooden flooring. They have an excellent primerless adhesion and adhere perfectly on both porous and non-porous surfaces. They are also suitable for difficult types of wood such as beech, maple and bamboo. Besides these general characteristics that apply for all Parabond parquet adhesives, every adhesive has its own specific characteristics and applications. 6 METHOD OF USE The moisture content of the support should be measured using a carbide meter or a digital hygrometer and be compared to the maximum value as specified by the flooring manufacturer (this is according to the NIT 218 of WTCB a maximum of 2,5% for cement floors and 0.6% for anhydrite. 5% for Parabond Parquet 480 and 580 as moisture barrier). The parquet should preferably be left in the original packaging in the relevant space to acclimatize for a few days. Check the humidity of the wood for installation and compare this with the value specified by the manufacturer. Installation is strongly discouraged below 7% or above 11% wood humidity. The surface must be fixed and rigid enough. Irregularities such as old adhesive residues should be removed mechanically. Extremely porous supports should be primed beforehand using parquet adhesive primer. The materials to be glued must be clean, dust and grease free. If necessary, degrease using Parasilico Cleaner, MEK, alcohol, or ethanol. Uneven fl oors should be levelled fi rst using a levelling layer. Smooth base (such as anhydrite) should preferably be sanded first, to improve the contact surface. It is advisable to do bonding tests. Our technical department could be consulted, if necessary. Apply the adhesive with a coarsely serrated glue scraper (5 mm). Take note that the adhesive exposure time is approximately 30 minutes (at 23 C and 50% R.H). It is therefore important not to apply too much adhesive in one stroke. Slide the parquet into the wet adhesive on the base and tap with a rubber hammer. The material can at this stage still be adjusted, just push it down well. If necessary, the parquet could be slightly loaded to ensure perfect spread of the adhesive. Any adhesive that may protrude along the edges can be removed using a stopping knife. Adhesive residue that has not yet dried, can be removed using Parasilico Cleaner, dried glue can only be removed mechanically. For the application of a moisture barrier with Parabond Parquet 480 or 580, use the special glue comb for moisture barrier. This glue comb makes sure a continuous layer of 1 mm is applied that protects against rising damp. Finishing MARINE Elastic hybrid polymer based adhesive and joint sealer for bonding and sealing in marine industry, automotive and building industry. Ideal for floor joints in for example bathrooms.
