1 Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours Rules Presented and hosted by DreamHack The DreamHack administration team holds the right to alter rules at any time, to ensure fair play. Introduction The following terms and conditions apply to the DreamHack Tours edition of the 2018 Shadowverse World Circuit. Players must abide by these rules in order to compete in the Tournament, and remain eligible to receive prizing. By competing in the Tournament you agree to the rules set forth in this document.

3 1.0 Player Eligibility Requirements 1.1 Language English is the operating language of the tournament. Participants may be disqualified if they are unable to communicate with tournament administrators in English. 1.2 Minimum Age Requirements Players must be at or above 16 years of age in order to participate in the tournament. Cut-off date for age checks is MAY 16th, If players are not 16 years of age by that date, then they are not eligible to play. 1.3 Conflict of interests Anyone that DreamHack or Cygames judges to have a conflict of interest will not be allowed to participate. 1.4 Check in Upon registration on at the check in, players must provide a photo ID to verify their location, regional eligibility, and identity. Forms of acceptable ID include, but are not limited to: Government Issued Identification Bank Issued Identification

4 School Issued Identification Birth Certificate Passport Guardian present with valid ID 1.5 Usernames Players must use the same username between Shadowverse and the tournament platform. Players must make reasonable efforts to match their names across all platforms and notify tournament admins when major discrepancies of username occur. 2.0 Tournament registration Tournament registration is made through google forms and a valid DreamHack Tours ticket id needs to be attached to sign up. Link to tournament registration form: Administration and Rulings Players must follow admin decisions. If a player disagrees with an admin ruling they may appeal to the Head admin. Head admin decisions are final and may override this ruleset in part or in full. These decisions are necessary to facilitate the smooth operation and integrity of the tournament. Players may submit a support request to evaluate the decision of the Head admin after the tournament has concluded. 5 4.0 Tournament Format 4.1 Schedule The Swiss portion of the tournament will take place on May The number of rounds depends on the numbers of players, it will be eight rounds below 180 players and nine rounds above The top 16 single elimination will take place on May The swiss is played in matches with best of three games and a ban. The single elimination will be played in matches with best of five games and no ban. All matches will be played in the conquest format. See 5.1 Terminology for more information on games/matches. Players who qualify for the top 16 will be required to submit another set of 3 Rotation decks, to be used throughout the rest of the tournament. The new set of 3 Rotation decks may be the same as the decks previously used in the swiss. Even if players choose to use the exact same decks, they must go through the deck submission process again. The deadline for submitting these decks in the tournament platform is 23:00 CEST May If you advance to the top 16 you will receive more instructions from the admin staff. See 5.4 Deck Submission for more information on deck submission. 5.0 Game Rules 5.1 Terminology A Game is a single round of Shadowverse. A Match is a series of 1 or more games of Shadowverse. In a Best of 3 Series, the first player to win two games is declared the winner. In a Best of 5 Series, the first player to win three games is declared the winner.

6 A Conquest match is a match format where players must win games using all of their eligible decks. - Any deck that is banned may not be used in the match - Any deck that is defeated may be used again in the match. - Any deck that is victorious can no longer be used in the match. The other remaining decks must be used. 5.2 Match points and Tiebreakers Winning a match will earn a player 3 match points, a loss will earn a player 0 match points. Standings will be determined first by match points and then by tiebreakers. Each player will have two tiebreakers. First tiebreaker will be the average amount of points taken by opponents (expressed as % of maximum with all opponents with below a 30% winrate considered to have 30% winrate). Second tiebreaker will be number of games you won (expressed as % of maximum). In case of both these being exactly the same a coin toss will determine standings except for qualification or not for top16 and/or Contenders Cup qualification where tiebreaker matches will be played. 5.3 Format There is only one game format that will be used throughout this tournament: Rotation Format Defined by the Official Site as In Rotation format, you can use the five most recent card sets and basic cards in a match. This follows the Best of 3 Series Conquest format, unless otherwise specified. Players must submit 3 decks of separate classes that fall within the Rotation Format card restrictions. Players must follow the Deck Submission Rules in Section 5.4.

7 5.4 Deck Submission and decklists Players must submit Shadowverse Portal deck links into the tournament platform within the required timeframe. Players must pay special attention to their deck compositions when Rotation is the game format. To ensure that decks have correct cards, use the in-game deckbuilder. Choosing the Rotation format under the Cards tab will allow players to only select from the eligible Rotation cards. Players can then select Create Deck Code and convert their in-game deck into a Shadowverse Portal deck link. Do not submit the 4 character deck code. Deck links need to be in the form of a Shadowverse Portal deck link. Deck links that lead to websites other than Shadowverse Portal will not be accepted. All players must submit three decks using three separate classes in order to compete. Battlefy deck registrations will close 18:00 CEST on May 19th. Players who do not register with their decks by the submission deadline will not be able to participate. A link to the specific Battlefy tournament page will be sent out to all verified players who registered either online or on-site at DreamHack Tours During the swiss phase, decklists will be visible to players on the tournament matchup page once their match has been prepared. Players are only able to see the decklists of their opponents after the start of the tournament. During the top16, a decklist sheet will be released to all players by a tournament admin through within 4 hours of the submission deadline. 5.5 Banning a class Before each match, players will choose one opposing deck to ban. Players will be required to pick which of their opponents decks they want to ban on the tournament platform page.

8 Players must compete using the remaining decks. In order to win a match players must win two games, one with each of their decks. Winning decks may not be used twice in the same match. 5.6 Game Lobby Settings One of the players in a match creates the lobby with the the following settings: Rotation: Mode: Regular Format: Rotation Best of Three Friends Spectate: NO Turn: Random Once the settings are set, the player must share the match ID with their opponent. For Rotation both players must add their two remaining decks that they submitted at registration at the match ready screen. 5.7 Tardiness and play time Players will have 10 minutes to check in and begin their match upon a round starting. If players fail to check into their match, they will be assigned a default loss and dropped from the tournament unless they check in with the admins before the round is over. Players who deliberately delay their matches may be subject to penalties at the admin s discretion. 6.0 Additional Rules 6.1 Types of Penalties Depending on the situation a player could be penalized in any of the following ways:

9 a. A warning (repeat warnings lead to other penalties) b. Penalized a game in a match (eg. starting their next match 0-1 instead of 0-0) c. Penalized a match (eg. forfeiting a match, or being eliminated from the tournament) d. Disqualified from the tournament entirely 6.2 Behavior and Conduct a. If a participant commits violent acts, or threatens to commit violent acts, against any other player in the Tournament, any admin, or any spectators of the Tournament, he or she may be disqualified from the Tournament. b. Knowingly lying to an admin about occurences in the tournament or trying to knowingly gain an illegal advantage is considered cheating and the player will be disqualified. c. If a participant behaves in any unsportsmanlike way it is possible, to the sole discretion of the administrators they will receive a penalty up to and including disqualification. d. Failing to attend round 1 will lead to immediate drop out of the tournament. Please report to the admin staff should you be delayed. 6.3 Disconnects Players who disconnect after the start of a match, regardless of intention will receive an automatic loss for that game. In the case of a lobby shut down or event wide problems, both players will be required to replay the game in question. 6.4 Violation of Tournament Format Players using a class they have already used to win a previous game or the banned deck in the match will automatically receive a game loss for the game in question. Players found to be using an unregistered deck will receive a match loss and will be disqualified if the admin staff finds that cheating has occurred. Players using an unregistered or banned deck will only receive a game loss in the current match if the violation is self-reported before the end of the game in question and no cheating has occurred.

10 6.5 Prize Pool Distribution The tournament Prize Pool is distributed as following: All participants will receive the Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 in-game emblem. The player with the most points at the end of the Swiss phase will receive the Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 MVP Flair. 1st place: $4000 & Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 Champion Flair 2nd place: $1500 & Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 Runner Up Flair 3-4th place: $ th place: $ th place: $ Contenders Cup 7.1 Eligibility The winner of Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 will be invited to the Shadowverse EURO Contenders Cup For the winner to be to be rewarded with a spot in the Contenders Cup, the player is required to submit proof of legal residence of one of the following countries when they check in at DreamHack: Aland Islands, Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzgovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City. Players who have qualified for the Contenders Cup will need to be available for the full duration of the Contenders Cup event. Players must be in-person at the live event taking place at NGE Studios in Burbank, California October 18th to October 22nd Travel expenses will be entirely covered by Cygames.

11 In the case that a player is unable to accept the invite due to regional eligibility or any other reason, or has already qualified for the Contenders Cup via other means, the spot will pass onto the next highest ranking Shadowverse World Circuit: DreamHack Tours 2018 player, and so on until an invitee has been decided. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker rules from Section 5.2 will be applied. The winners of the Contenders Cup will be flown to Tokyo to compete in the $1 million dollar first prize Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2018 tournament (further details to be released at a later date). 8.0 Broadcasted Match Rules 8.1 Matches to be Broadcast Swiss matches will be broadcasted in every swiss round. Once participants in a match are notified that they will be broadcasted, they must stop, and not play their match until the broadcast admin instructs them to do so. This match will be played in the feature match area. 8.2 Broadcast Match Rules In all circumstances where a match is to be broadcast, players may not start their matches until an official tournament admin has instructed them to do so. If the players competing in a broadcasted match start a match before being instructed to do so, the results of that match will not be considered, and the lobby must be re-created. If players do not begin their matches when instructed to do so by the tournament admin, they may be subject to penalties. Furthermore, players in broadcasted matches should not report their scores on Battlefy and an admin will report their matches. Because of this delay, there may be times where the Battlefy Bracket has not progressed to allow players to see their opponent s deck information and choose a ban. In these instances, an admin will facilitate the match set up process.

12 9.0 Equipment a. Players will utilize their own equipment during the swiss stage. DreamHack will provide a device for all streamed matches. b. Excluding the equipment players use to compete, additional electronics are not allowed. 9.1 System requirements All tournament devices must fulfill the minimum system requirements for Shadowverse. To view all the system requirements, please visit Deck Tracking software, notes and coaching Players are allowed to bring a pen and a blank piece of paper for notes during matches. Any kind of decktracking software and other means of notetaking is not allowed in this tournament. Coaching is not allowed during the duration of a match (this includes during breaks). 11. Prize money policy All prize money needs to be claimed from DreamHack by the player or organisation. Please read our prize money policy page for more information. DreamHack reserves the right to alter the ruleset at any time and without prior consent or notification.
