1 Confrontation EVO-DEMO Wolfen of Yllia December 18 th 2016 v:1.1 When the gods still walked on the earth, Yllia, Goddess of the Moon, granted her favour to the strongest of the wolves, making him the firstborn of the Wolfen race. Now, millennia after that day, Wolfens are the greatest and most feared predators on Aarklash, fierce and cunning due to their beastly nature, yet wise and contemplative too, due to the divine gift of intellect. If nature has its champions, those are certainly the Wolfens! Description A Wolfen army or rather a pack is based on their attack power. They run fast, attack first and deal deadly blows, even if the enemy withstands their impact, he ll have little to do aftewards. They are also fearful predators who can make many enemies flee. Beware though, Wolfen are costly and you ll almost certainly be in numerical inferiority. DISCLAIMER The complete army book contains many more profiles, capacities, artefacts, and so on. Few entries here have been simplified to enhance game speed. Capacity: Scary Reserved to: Killyox Pack Leader This fighter normally has FEAR 11 but for this variant of the game it has been reduced to 9. Capacity: Loyal Pack Reserved to: Wolfen Fang Warrior and Wolfen Great Fang While building the army, these fighters get bonuses depending on the General: Ashan Tyr: Survival instinct; Onyx the Prowler: Implacable/1; Killyox Pack Leader: +2 FEAR. Capacity: Shadows of Yllia Reserved to: Wolfen Vestal Irrespectively from the results of the INI test, Wolfen Vestals can always assign their combat dice after their enemies. Capacity: The Shadows in the Mist Reserved to: Wolfen Shadow Tracker If this fighter is Hidden before a Tactical Roll, he gets Assassin until the end of the round. During the Mystical phase, if no enemy fighter can draw Line of Sights on this fighter, he becomes Hidden. Capacity: The One Who Protects the Eternity Reserved to: Grave Guardian If the enemy army is from any of these factions this fighter gains War fury until the end of the game: Acheron, Dirz, Drunes, Goblins, Mid-Nor. Notes: This army strangely has many fighters for a Wolfen pack, though If you manage to send two fighters on the same enemy, he won t last long. Army General: Ashan Tyr 2x Wolfen with Crossbow 2x Wolfen Predator with Blade Total: 200 a.p. Notes: The two predators will be too much to bear for most enemies. Use the crossbowmen to weaken enemy troops and Ashan Tyr s high INI to almostcertainly be the first to strike in combat. Army General: Killyox Pack Leader 3x Wolfen Hunter 1x Wolfen Vestal Total: 199 a.p. Notes: Killyox is one of the most renown fighters of Confrontation, his story is legend, as are his 14 STR and 11 FEAR. Special Capacities of Mystics Capacity: Lone Wolfens Reserved to: Wolfen Lonewolf As long as another friendly Lone Wolf is alive on the field, the Lone wolf s Mana reserve limit is increased by 3 and he gets a +1 to the natural result of his recovery rolls. Spells for Wolfens Confusion Power: 1 Gems: 2 Water Difficulty: Magician s POW +3 Area of effect: personal Range: personal Frequency: 1 The Magician has one less die in combat but all enemies in contact with him suffer a -1 penalty to INI, ATT and DEF. Blessing of the Ancestors Reserved to: Wolfen Magicians Power: 1 Gems: 2 Water Difficulty: 4 Area of effect: a friendly fighter Grave Guardian Range: 20 cm Frequency: 3 The target gets +2 RES. It is not possible to read below the last line. The price of blood Aspects: Creation Fervour: 2 Difficulty: FAI +4 Area of effect: a friendly fighter Range: 15 cm Duration: instantaneous The target is healed of all his wounds and the Faithful suffers 2 wounds that he cannot avoid nor reduce by any means. This miracle can kill the Faithful. The same fighter can be targeted by this miracle only once per game. Ghost Blade Aspects: Alteration Fervour: 1 Difficulty: 5 Area of effect: a friendly fighter Range: 15 cm The target gets the ability Feint. Notes: Each and every one of these fighters can hold his ground against most foes he will encounter, however note that your army does not have many fighters. Use Yrix s spells to grant extra speed to the other fighters and don t forget the ranged threat posed by Trackers. Army General: Syriak the Intrepid with: Yllia s wrath and Ghost Blade 2x Wolfen Great Fang 2x Grave Guardian 1x Wolfen Predator with Blade Total: 195 a.p. Notes: Syriak s miracles will be very effective on the Grave guardians, granting them extra combat powers and on Fang warriors, which will be able to Feint and take combat dice away from your opponent. For this tactic to work best, send Fang warriors together with another support fighters to maximise carnage! 3

Solo/Worg Leader (5 a.p.): This Solo is reserved to Characters. This fighter gains Leadership/ /0/1 W 2 Pack: Throne of Stars Pack leader: Onyx the Prowler and Killyox Pack Leader Pack/Cruel Dominance (1 a.p.): Affiliated fighters gain Resolution/1. Solo/Extreme Selection (2 a.p.): The fighter with this solo gets Master strike/0. Pack: Twilight Hills Pack leader: Isakar Pack/Guerrilla Warfare (1 a.p.): After the deployment phase, you can swap 2 fighters. Solo/Deadly Circle (2 a.p.): This is reserved to Grave Guardian. They get Hard-boiled and War fury. Example Lists Trail of Opal Army General: Onyx the Prowler + affiliation + solo + Keratis Blade 2x Wolfen Fang Warrior + affiliation 3x Wolfen Vestal + affiliation Total: 195 a.p. Notes: This affiliation turns even the weaker Wolfen in a powerful fighter, so this list goes for a high number of fighters to overwhelm the enemy! Throne of Stars Army General: Killyox Pack Leader + affiliation (0) 2x Wolfen Fang Warrior + affiliation + solo 1x Wolfen Vestal + affiliation + solo Total: 197 a.p. Notes: Any list with Killyox will have few fighters, however in this one they all get Resolute and Master strike. Charge the enemy to give them penalties, use Resolute to win the INI and then perform a Master strike, Vestals reach STR 10, Fang warriors reach STR 13 and Killyox... oh my goodness. Water/Lamentations; Pariah; Hardboiled; Warrior-Mage; Born Killer Faithful of Yllia/15; Possessed; Warrior-monk; Thaumaturgist; Born Killer Twilight Hills Army General: Ashan Tyr + affiliation 2x Wolfen Tracker + affiliation 2x Wolfen Shadow Tracker + affiliation Total: 193 a.p. Notes: This affiliation gives combat bonuses that just fit any Wolfen! In this case, Ashan Tyr here as an unmatched INI, Trackers provide ranged attacks and Shadow trackers provide deadly Scouts to harass the enemy. Twilight Hills Army General: Onyx the Prowler + affiliation 2x Grave Guardian + affiliation 2x Wolfen Lonewolf + affiliation. With: Confusion and Blessing of the Ancestors Total: 199 a.p. Notes: The Grave guardians can benefit from the Lonewolves spells to become more resilient than thus harder to kill. 4
